All participants will receive a SCO-enabled FSD, pre-engineered with Increased Range and Fast Boot Sequence and unlocked experimentals. One of each class 2-7 FSD will be provided. Participants must register at least 1 contribution to be eligible.
I have a better idea ... just let me buy the modules .... with money.

You need to equip (and learn to use) a couple of caustic sinks and a thargoid pulse neutraliser. Else you will not be able to get there.

When the sinks get full you need to manually eject them (you need to bind them to a fire group). As for the neutraliser, you need to also manually fire it, at the moment when the blue wave is just about to hit you.

You also need some AX weapons. However, given that you need to do damage to the core itself, you may want to go there in open or the AXI pg, as it becomes really hard (although not impossible) to expose the core in solo.
Thank you for the time to reply, but I actually did all that.

I was in open, and used a neutraliser, and had caustic sinks.

I followed the tracker signal which seems to be the mistake I made... and thus ran out of caustic sinks eventually as I constantly flew around in the caustic cloud chasing the signal to no avail.

Having seen that moving signal effect long ago in horizons missions, I assumed it would eventually settle down just being one of those ed time sink things. Two long drawn out deaths later and 20 million lighter, apparently not.

When you fly to Titan there is a fairly simple, brightly colored orb - red in color, it should be in the center. A big problem for me is when I fly into asteroids too far away after bombing. It is not clear where Titan is, and you have to navigate by the enemies on the radar.

It takes a while to update, but if you check the CG board status on rescue ship Hutner, it should show the actual figure.
Not just the Hutner. Dock anywhere that has Missions access and you'll see it updated. The left panel doesn't update very well in this regard this time. I got my first update when I checked my score at Mars High, the sole Sol port still open right now.

After bombing, fly away until the torus field no longer affects you and some additional seconds, that's when you zero throttle and turn around. You should still have asteroids between you and the caustic cloud at that point, and not get caustic damage from said cloud.

Yeah I don't take damage, it's just that I lose sight of the Titan and don't see it :(

Hence, not flying too far away and starting to turn a few seconds after you're no longer affected by the Torus field, the Titan should still be easily visible. If nothing else, you can estimate its direction by the uncertain radar contacts (Scouts, Interceptors, Scythes etc).

Out of curiosity... wonder what would happen if we just.... didn't?
Then we would be missing a once in a lifetime opportunity to gank planet Earth. Creating a supernova just above their heads, then showering the planet with caustic goop seems like a perfect Christmas present for the Feds.:devilish:

I have the same issue. Been clubbing that Titan pinata like crazy, got 20 mil in bonds, CG panel shows I've done damage for 6k credits, definitely not true.

Just a reminder that the success of the CG and getting the material rewards depends on Tier 8 being reached, as it appears each tier corresponds directly to each heart of the Titan Core and hence the destruction of Cocijo. This is in stark contrast to past CGs where achieving Tier 1 alone was sufficient.

I suggest we get to it.

Let the weekend roll around first. We haven't even reached Friday's peak time yet.

The damage/credit values being different is confusing a lot of people at first glance.

One of the main confusions I've seen is "Do i need 2m CG contribution to get the shipkit/decal" which isn't true and isn't mentioned anywhere else, with the forum post making no mention of the 2m requirement at all.

I think it's fairly safe to assume that the requirements are fairly lax here and everyone who did damage to the core will get some reward, but clearing up some of the worries could set a lot of worried people who are really paranoid about missing out on the many excellent rewards this event has.
