I hope some groups are holding back intentionally to give everyone a chance to get their contributions in. If not, then it's not looking good.
Its all about friday's maintenance, from Monday will be progress back on track. It will be not officially commented (as all those questions were previously completelly ignored), but its too obvious what is going on. Cocijo would be in meltdown already without behind the scenes manipulation.

Once again, I wrote above, but I guess I didn't get it. We didn't have PP2 before and had nothing else to do.
I personally had a hard time breaking away from PP2 to get a sticker and at the same time FSD, so I could get back to my power.
At the very least to complete the weekly quests.

That was barely (more than) thirthy minutes so it would account for a few percent of progress at best, so, no. It is in fact not about the Friday maintenance and Frontier made sure the Titan survived the weekend on Thursday already. Contributions per hour on inara around the afternoon on Thursday were about 20 million per hour as well, not 7-10.

They also probably want this one to be more of a fight than just getting obliterated in a few days or less.

This is the issue with Fdev trying to please everyone, if the modules like in previous CGs were locked behind maybe 50% or at least 75% then more folks would stick around to contribute.

Went in the AXI PG and did my first Titan bombing run last night in my re-tooled Krait MkII: C2 TV Beam; C2 nanite torp; three C3 AX missiles.

Got through the caustic cloud with less struggle than I thought … the pulse wave seemed to still push me back, even with the neutraliser running, but only very slowly (like 60m/s) before my thrusters got me back up to speed again. Think I lost 5% hull to some interceptor that spotted me near the end.

Thanks to all the other CMDRs there the actual Titan seemed relatively safe. I think the most vents I hit with torps on any given run was 3 but the last one was also hit by someone else so I needn’t have bothered.

Couple of times I needed to top up hull with limpets (took 64 limpets and a 3A controller but could have got away with less) and ended up with about 26 million in bonds / 19k contribution to the CG.

Got a gig tonight but if the Titan’s still there Sunday I’ll put a longer stint in.

Honestly, I think they will have to act if it's looking likely to fail - having initially chosen one level, then boosting it by a factor of 2.5 to avoid what looked like a stupidly quick finish, they may conclude that they overdid it. They really can't want it to fail, especially after their difficulty hike... The players would be so massively annoyed to lose out on the new drives.
rather than do that I would rather they just extended the end of the CG nice move it to following Monday .

Results of 8 titan bombing runs (exhaust all ammo and suicide back to ship)

just had a couple of successful runs. am now in the top 75% in the CG which will hopefully make sure I get the ship kit as well as the FSDs. mind you I hope to have a few more runs at it maybe tomorrow morning. it's enjoyable I am kicking myself for not doing this on the other titans. I hope one way or another this continues in the game after this titan drops.

so far I have lost 2 ships which has cost me 9 million but that has been covered by the pilots federation vouchers.

btw any player happen to be here who I was with in mobius who saw me foolishly boost into the "pineapple" vent and get stuck. I accidentally hit boost when shooting at it DOH!

It's not the kind of thing Frontier would ban anyone over, I'd guess, but certainly an exploit. This is just one of those cases where I'd say it's up to the individual's discretion (but I wouldn't use it due to its cheesy nature and generally don't do premium synths anyway). Until it is or isn't fixed...

idk if this has been discussed before, but I'm kinda wondering about the reward...

  • All participants will receive a SCO-enabled FSD, pre-engineered with Increased Range and Fast Boot Sequence and unlocked experimentals. One of each class 2-7 FSD will be provided. Participants must register at least 1 contribution to be eligible.

Most people seem to assume that you get a total of 6 FSDs, as per the "one of each class". But there's also the "a" in the first sentence, which to me reads as "one". So I guess the whole thing could be parsed as "there are FSDs from class 2 through 7 available, and you get to choose one of them".
Has this been clarified yet?

To me it reads you get one of each class, if we actually kill it

I suppose "one of each class will be provided" could mean "one of each class will be available (to be chosen from)".

However, I'm almost certain that it does mean that you'll get one of each, ie. 6 FSDs in total. If it doesn't, then there would be no end to the disappointment among the playerbase.

It's not perfect wording - "SCO-enabled FSDs" would be much clearer - but all previous CGs of this sort you've been given one of each specified size class, and there hasn't been any sort of "choose your reward" mechanism because the modules just show up in your storage a little while after the CG completes.

Maybe they meant that they will provide 6 FSDs in total. In other words, the top 6 contributors get one FSD each.

Put the pitchforks down! I'm just joking, sheesh!
