One of these days, Frontier is going to remember that the folllowing sub-forum, intended for company-wide news, exists:

we have elite forum, we have elite twitter. these have been used in the past to announce things and there are no announcements there. instead there is an announcement on an undisclosed discord (as noone mentioned which discord that is and afaik there is no official fdev elite discord), and an announcement for the planetco players.
how many extra hoops do cmdrs have to jump through to get informed on the livestream date and time?
and what exactly are you trying to defend here?
A quick glance at the forum for Frontier as a whole shows no announcement and no new entries in the news sections of any of the games except Planet Coaster 2 where the FU unlocked is mentioned as an aside in another topic.
So it isn’t as if we were being treated any worse than any of the other groups.

I mean you're correct here, but your first post was too subtle, it looked like a lack of reading on your part, because the post you were quoting already answered the question you asked and already made the point of not being in the Elite forum.
There is a Frontier discord called Frontier Unlocked, which they have officially announced for other games but not Elite.
It's the new and forever improving communication we have been promised .

I regularly look in New Posts which is where I saw that (I also find other interesting stuff like the Star Citizen thread and this gem.)
It's pretty interesting to me seeing the evolving dialogue between players and FDEV around the PlanCo2 (!planco2) release (ED Forumites should be on their guard as the Planet Coaster II fanbase is quickly gaining on them in the entitled whininess, edgy posturing, and petulant unrealistic demands stakes! (IMESHO!) though to be fair they are far away from the fully entrenched adversarial relationship enjoyed (by some) in these quarters).
I have zero interest in any of Frontier's other IP, and as little interest in Star Citizen or indeed some long derailed thread that thankfully (eventually) got dumped into the pointless section of the forums where it belongs.
The only reason I'm here is Elite Dangerous. As such, I do have an interest in Elite related topics, and particularly, news from Frontier themselves, and given that they still employ CM(s?) assigned to Elite I do believe it's reasonable to expect these kind of news to be shared in the respective forums given they do maintain sub forums for each IP, including Elite Dangerous (and a separate, tumble weed filled news section to boot). On that note, I also don't want to hear about posts on tw@er et al as I don't want to give those 'platforms' any of my clicks for hopefully obvious reasons.
Others might think it's entitled, whiny, edgy, petulant and unrealistic. I obviously think it's a pretty reasonable expectation in how a company should communicate with their customer base about their products.

- Community managers to communicate to the community
- Use the company's own forum to communicate information
- Be able to put together a 90 minute live stream every month (I think it's entirely possible for Frontier to put together a 90 minute live stream every week, but obviously Frontier don't think so)
I don't even mind the lack of a stream - ever since they became so bloated with fluff (be that initially things like looking at and endlessly discussing screenshots etc., or more recently other IP) I much prefer a to-the-point written post on these here forums.
I know, I'm old school like that, but it's easy for Frontier to produce and time-efficient for me, so win-win. But I assume the cadence and format of how they choose to keep us informed is another way to keep the carrot in good distance from the donkey while keeping him engaged still, without having to deliver anything for a good while yet.
Exactly... sadly.
I will wait for the big reveal stream for 2025. We will see what will be planned. If it´s a load of content I will dump 60 Euro in ARX after a very long time again to support this kind of development.
This I want for Elite Dangerous! A Roadmap, a post in january and a happy design of that
According to yesterday's release by FDEV it seems many have been doing similar:

(Personally I feel that RNS is a bit whiffy and it seems I am not alone since the share price is decaying after the boost the RNS produced yesterday.)
