Um, can we have our menu music back now?

The burning hangar is no more, but the evacuation sound is still hanging about on the menu screen. Can we bring back the GOAT?

I second this suggestion. In fact I just sent a "bug" report about it
I look forward to the loading screen going back to normal please
I don't even remember what the soundtrack used to sound like since I haven't heard it in 2 years :)

I'm pretty sure that menu music wasn't played in the menu even before the thargoid war? (I don't know when they removed it though)

It's not the music per say it's the voice track that's playing in the background
It's still saying things like "Please remain calm...Make your way to the nearest evacuation point...."
The war's over...Please either put the old voice track back or remove it entirely.
Thank You

That music is good, can't deny it...
I turned all off as it's more immersive and that is what I do with games (redesign for hardcore hyper realism) ... but can't stop listening from the link u too offered. Love it.

I think the game needs some more new soundtracks. I also think some other music is needed when you are in enemy or allied space. For example in the thargoid war you had different music in thargoid sectors. That was realy great!

Removing the sound entirely wold be worse.

But the evacuation soundtrack should be replaced by something.
Please, remain calm. There is no need to worry. The aliens have been defeated. There is no longer any need to panic. Please move in an orderly manner to the nearest ice cream store on your deck. There, you may soothe your anxieties with any flavor ice cream you wish drizzled with chocolate sauce or the sprinkles of your choice.

Those of you who are older may feel free to calm your anxieties by looking at pictures of the feet of the princess.

Maybe I'll suggest putting this video with music BEFORE the main menu. You open the launcher and first you see this intro, which can play until you click on it to bring up the main menu.

I love it, that's great

I'd much rather hear that :)

Those feet pics might soothe people visually, but it's aurally we need it.

MENU MUSIC > PANTHER CLIPPER

I just want them to turn off the evacuation sound track...
They probably set it to always on but unless they hard coded it in the main code turning if off shouldn't be that hard...

I submitted a bug report before and was unsure about it but now oh no this is absolutely a bug

It'll probably be changed once they implement our ability to set up our own bases.

"A new life awaits you on the off-world colonies. Go find one or go to one that some rather rich pilot has created for you to create a new life on. We take no responsibility for any body parts that may be lost or mangled due to poor construction, but hey, what are the odds of that happening, right? No seriously, you'll be fine. Just go. Trust us. We manufacture the equipment used to make these bases and they're great. Unless, of course, they're attacked by Thargoids or pirates. Especially pirates. Make sure you have lots of rum of they come by. Invite them in. Get them drunk. Lord knows they can't get a drink at any port or station bar. And there's nothing more fun than a drunken pilot. If they pass out, put them in the longboat 'till they get sober. But go find that new life on our off-world colonies."

By this time, you should have clicked "Open" or "Solo."
