I for one love the Sidewinder and it doesn't bother me a bit. I had a well rigged out Cobra, Eagle and Sidewinder before the update but just before the wipe had gone back to the Sidewinder anyway because I think it is a nifty little mover. it's like the Fiat Punto of Elite :)

I think the mistake many make is upgrading to an Eagle too quickly. The Sidey is an impressive craft when kitted out well. My highlight of Betapocalypse was destroying a Lakon 9 in my Sidewinder :)

Yep I was one of them last night.... That was the point I just flew around talked a little bit to other cmdr's, binned the mission reset my game again and went to bed.... Was fun lol.

As far as I know there will be no more wipes after Gamma as far as I am aware. So see this as a mini stop gap until then (this weekend) and just have fun.

I was wondering when the wipe will hit the forum, i work nights in a distant time zone and played once the servers came back on, starting again in a Side with 1000 cr and loosing my pimped out ride and millions but what the hell it was fun making the money and we can make it again.

Im not into the bounty just trade, mine, explore...im just chilling checking out trade, stars, routes doing research getting ready for the real game to start so if the 22nd is when it all begins and no more wipes this game after months of playing will see some amazing ships flying.

And for the record strait after the wipe i also saw Anacondas flying around, F-ckers.

I agree, I highly doubt it was a DEV, I would imagine a hack or cheat... most definitely report it.

Where are the screen shots of these Cmdrs flying Anacondas?

If you find a Cmdr that you think might be cheating (because their ship is too expensive to have bought by legitimate means so quickly) then take a screen shot and send it to FD.

FD know the Cmdr names of their staff members who may have access to any and all craft and equipment (and are testing). If it is someone cheating, FD can look into it.

But you gotta have proof (IMO).

Saliddry if you read what FD has been saying since day 1 about the Gamma. They would not wipe if no game breaking issues were found, but if they did a wipe would happen. So people started pressing for a definite will you or won't you wipe. Since it is impossible to know the future and what may happen FD said they would wipe as that is the only thing they can say for certain.

So a wipe will happen and it is because people can not read or comprehend the meaning of, we may have to but would prefer not. They have to make a call as people demanded a yes or no answer.

So don't go crying if they wipe, they always said they may have to but would prefer not to. As people demanded a answer we got one, a wipe will happen. So get use to it now, your fellow players asked for a definite answer and got one. Oh if they decide a wipe is not called for and are nice and leave what we have intact do not complain that they said they would wipe and didn't. It is testing and they can change at will what will happen.

The only sure thing is we can test, have some fun and on December 16th the game goes live, they can and will do what is required up to then, so if that is a wipe so be it. If not needed they may not.

How do you know they had that many credits? Is there some way of telling?
