I don't think these numbers consider private collections and pet ownership. That'd bump numbers up considerably for most monitor lizards
Since i dont see myself listed under the pilbara rock monitor holdings i would agreeI don't think these numbers consider private collections and pet ownership. That'd bump numbers up considerably for most monitor lizards
I do agree that the jumping on horizontal climbing honestly should have been there. It's the one thing I personally consider doable enough for it to be a shame that it's not in. And maybe they could have adjusted the climbing resting animation as well. Other than that, I don't think there was much room for improvement in the current climbing system. For me that's okay, but I do understand that everyone is different in that regard.Yeah i defintely fall into that last category. I mean i agree that sifakas were never gonna be perfect, but surely they could do better than this right?
Like at the very least reuse the jumping on horizontal climbing. And ideally some kind of new enrichment item were they can behave naturally.
Idk for me its just when an animal doesnt behave atleast semi believable im just not gonna use it. That said i never really had much desire for this species so ultimately i dont really care too much that its essentially dead weight for me. I just think its kind of a shame
Whilst that's factually correct, is it really that hard to understand that people see it as such?Which would be dumb, as the second wildebeest was neither a replacement or a remaster...
I literally gave you the numbers and while zootierliste has many flaws I doubt its incredibly wrong about this.No offense, but I doubt that. Savannah, yes makes sense but I doubt Komodo is number one. It’s a relatively “new” species in zoos which confuses me even more![]()
is it dumb yes is it the truth also yes welcome to the world of working with people.Which would be dumb, as the second wildebeest was neither a replacement or a remaster...
I only went as far back as the grasslands, but yeah I think the Nile Lechwe was an oddball as well and maybe the Wild Water Buffalo and Spectacled Caiman.. Twilight and Conservation rosters were all popular picks IIRC. If I looked back at 2021 I'd be pretty confident in saying that the Dhole was also not that popularly requested but otherwise most were solid picks.Even the nile lechwe?
I remember saiga and quokka were fairly up. And doesn't surprise me since they are popular even outside this forum and among broader audiences.
Let's not get too excited yet...this may well be for the Eurasia/Oceania bundle release date. I do have that right as the last two to be released?Source: https://x.com/frontierdev/status/1893320615467110634
They didn't say console, so we might be lucky!
ZooTierListe is missing many SE Asian facilities and American “smaller” facilities in terms of full species.I literally gave you the numbers and while zootierliste has many flaws I doubt its incredibly wrong about this.
I also could be underestimating water monitors based on subspecies numbers since taxonomy isnt clear but even then it wouldnt be first by much. The only reason I checked was because I assumed the komodo would be solidly number 1 which its not first by much the gap between first and third is very small.
At the same time, they did not say anything about PZ being in Unlocked on the PZ twitter page. This could still come etc, but for now I assume there won't be nothing or nothing major for us.Source: https://x.com/frontierdev/status/1893320615467110634

using zootierliste it looks like komodo dragon is first at 130
second and third are close though with the savannah monitor at 119 and asian water montior at 111.
Nile montior I think is 6th at 72

If Zootierliste isn't convincing enough for you, here is a quote from an overview of monitor lizards in zoos published back in 2016:
Komodo has 130
Nile has 71
Asian water has 111
Savannah has 119
So komodo seems to be the most common indeed, which suprised me aswell. Although the asian watermonitor seems to have some funky taxonomy going on with some subspecies and some very similar species which may or may not be subspecies, which all would add another couple holdings probably surpassing the komodo if all counted as one.

Personally I think there’s better odds we get something, I’m not guessing a full showing of what’s coming. I’m definitely feeling a teaser though. I think what they did with ZooKeeper was great, I don’t see why they wouldn’t do that again.Source: https://x.com/frontierdev/status/1893320615467110634

Yeah I pretty much only tune in to PZ, and I know we have talked about it but I’m not exactly “excited” for the next DLC I’m just more curious to see what it is. Now if the teaser is good obviously I’ll be a hypocrite and change my tuneAt this point i don't feel any excitement about the streams. Just anxious and afraid of being dissapointed again.
Personally I don’t put much stock into the PZ twitter and other social media pages. If they don’t specify its console anytime between now and the stream I think we could get something in regards to the next DLC.At the same time, they did not say anything about PZ being in Unlocked on the PZ twitter page. This could still come etc, but for now I assume there won't be nothing or nothing major for us.
I assume the earliest we receive the promised dlc would be easter, so the Unlocked I am really curious about would be the one in march. This one will probably just remind everyone of the last update.
Correct me if im wrong, but dont they say that every time? The fact that they say news makes me hopeful! Maybe too hopeful.
