COMPLETED CG Brewer Corporation Trailblazer Fleet Initiative (Trade)

Mmh...yeah, my bad. You are right.
My...new players have it easy nowadays...I recall that time 10 years ago when flying an Anaconda was a distant dream, and the rebuy costs were terrifying ;)

I am not conplaining at all, I started 10 years ago, gave up (also due to the massive grind) and came back only recently. For casusl players with quite limited time, there have been massive improvements.

But stll: With only a week left and as someone who has not billions banked, this community goal offers very little incenitive, as right now probalby I cant afford to colonise anyway. But I still hope it will be successfull and that there are enough players who dont need any more credits willing to participate.

Well ... the decal seems ... meh.
Most definitely will not be using on any of my ships.
And since with my Type 8 it was getting a bit tiresome going back and forth .... I now bought the beefed up Type-9 at the Frontier Shop (to support them) and did a few trips. Sold 4000+ tons and it got REALLY tiresome, doing the same thing over and over ... As an EXPLORER this is truly something I do not like a bit. So, I think I might leave it at that.

Trading has always been a 'have a second monitor' activity - and it has merits in being that. Not many games still present an opportunity to watch, listen, forum browse, and so on and still let you play at a decent pace; most demand your full attention at all times whilst progressing.

Just sharing some perspective, to each their own and all that. Exploring I suppose has some extra things to do these days, but I do find it a little funny to complain about 'doing the same thing over and over' and then point to Exploration, where you too are largely 'doing the same thing over and over' 😉

I find trading to be more fun letting a pirate NPC interdict me here and there, to be the next victim of my endless experiments in hardpoint selection (recently discovered how frighteningly quickly packhounds can destroy subtargeted drives, as little as 1-2 salvos against an FDL...), but naturally that will lower your "credits per hour" a bit to be an 'armed hauler'.

If you REALLY want to spice things up... you can always trade while having a bunch of stacked WMMs active. Then you'll have a never-ending parade of Anacondas chasing you the whole while.

Or just take the opportunity to watch a new show, talk to chat on your stream, or whatever. 😁

EDIT: DISCLAIMER: Everything below was written before I caught up to reality and then watched this week's Witchspace News...

That contradicts the existing information we've gotten about getting the permit from a populated system within 10 LY of the uninhabited system that is to be colonized. But, FDev can change things if they want to.
Yes but once you have the permit, you have to travel to the place to complete the process, How does that work? Do you have to go to the trailblazer to get teh tech to make that happen. It could be as simple as just going there, "hi, I'm here, HONKKKKK" but 🤷‍♂️ . Or do you need to deliver something and do you get that something at the TrailBlazjerz™️ station contact, or somewhere else?

They will be needed somehow. I hope its a little more than just a simple hauling source/sink/whatever.

We'll find out in 5 days.
Either that or we find out that its delayed, which probably wouldn't be bad if they think it needs to be delayed. They are releasing it as beta in the sense that they're testing it against the players and they don't expect everyone to drop what they're doing and go try it on day one. There will be a surge for sure but bugs and other issues will be the bane of early players with this one.

I'm definitely interested and I'll certainly be reading/watching about it, trying it out maybe 🤷‍♂️

And I can't wait to see what we do get and how wrong we all were in our thoughts about what it would/could/should be...lol...

Oh I have a lot to say about that as well...
Nice video. I really like the chill melancholy vibe. There's a lot of nothing out there!

From a game developer perspective, every planet requires a human to do some amount of work on it. At least one person, one planet at a time. No problem, hire 50 artists. LOL, we are talking about BILLIONS of planets.

We are lucky most of the universe is barren balls of rock and ice. We humans just don't have the manpower. Procedural generation goes only so far.

AI, or just a decent computer, can easily crunch some numbers and churn out a bunch of variations, but the place is so big, that anything we humans could do would be just a hardly detectable change.

The Milky Way Galaxy has an estimated 1-3 BILLION planets.

Imagine the dev team spent only one (1) second on each planet, everything about it; art, textures, 3d models, getting it placed within the game system...everything. Do THAT math...

1 billion seconds (planets) is 31.7097919838 years.

Theoretically doable. Realistically...challenging!

Computers need to step up their game and get busy. Humans don't stand a chance in making the digital galaxy much more than what it is, empty and barren.

Understandable, which is why I proposed that they could use generative AI Systems, to have, say, every 10.000th planet to be able to support alien life. Based on that planetary data, the generative AI can "know" how flora and fauna can look like, and even adapt this to different biomes on the planet - thus, on a desert biome we could have wild beasts that have evolved to adapt to such hot and dry climate, while on a jungle biome, the species would be completely different.
The Devs would not have to manually do any of this, because the AI would be more capable than they are to generate such species based on all the data it has on the planet. And this would not be restricted to flora and fauna alone - the AI "knows" how to use assets and existing procedural generation with various noise layers to generate appropriate landscapes, or specific features, like caves for example, that would house such species.
All this might have sounded like an unreachable dream a few years ago - but that is not the case anymore.

Oh I don't know... 10ly out from the bubble.... in any direction?

Thats gotta be what.... at least 50 million stars to chose from?

Thats not enough to isolate yourself within?

Nope. I wanted to fly where I already was, more or less, to explore. Even a bit further than that (behind the Bloody Rim), roughly 27.000 ly away from the bubble, and build my base there.

But they will be expecting a bigger interaction with it than they would get on a standalone server otherwise why bother.

It is new code of course there will be issues.

Yes much salt and backtracking on the forums.

Maybe if they ever introduce base building you will get your chance.

You still don't have billions??

I too, had a break from the game 8 years ago, and came back about 2 months ago :)

Do you like combat and want to test new builds => Pirate massacre stacking (with the side app to manage the missions)

You need a break from combat => exobiology (with BioInsight + search online for HMC with the right conditions 2000-3000 Ly away)

Another kind of break, and want to increase PP ranking => mining hot spots (you can find good spots online) (BTW, I have not tried that one yet ..on my to-do list though)

And then, I guess you can still haul off you really like...

Bringing the topic back to the CG...

Tier 1 reached, top 25% is a cool 200 million credits, top 75% is 100 million credits so a decent reward even at the first tier.
It all depends now on how many are willing to make a concerted effort to obtain as many tiers as possible.

But which one? There are at least two groups 🤞
The ones that lost their manners and silver tongue over the years.
Have met lots of them lately, we had fun, but none of them said a single word or returned my greetings even though I was flying their color. They used to be better than this back in my days serving young Lord Archon...did not age like fine wine unfortunately.
They did, however, make me understand yesterday that my Cutter needs a Prismatic...I'm about to defect to Aisling :-/

You should look up @Rubbernuke 's group then. He's been there from the very beginning.

I thought so too. But: the only worthwhile commodity (compared to normal trade-routes) are "CMM Composite", and I does seem that no station has them in stock (in large quantities). The other might net you ca. 3M Credits per run (full T9), while a good trade route will bring you ca 10-20M Credits (and maybe even some Merits for PP). So: I might still skip it...

In my T-8, Power Generators are netting me 3 million per trip. Of course Starlace station doesn't sell anything good, so I have to deadhead back to my source.

Do we have to deliver some of everything to progress the tiers? CMM Composites, looks like you can only get them from Surface Stations that only have a couple dozen on hand. No way am I doing that.

Just doing 384 units of Power Generators put me in the Top 75% tier. Good for an extra 100MCr after the goal is over. Assuming I don't get bumped out.

I haven't really used my Python Mk II yet, I might hop into that and bust some bounties for a change too.

They don't need to generate all 400 billion systems ab initio. They only need to make one when somebody visits it.

Although I'd love to be somehow the architect of all of this, shockingly I was not a Kumo meat technician at the start, but rather was heavily involved in running the Antal group (along with its Reddit and proto discord at the time).

It was only after a...threshold moment that I joined The Kings™ glorious domain and a humble Kumo Burger restaurant owner. But I've known the various Kumo guys over the years who were all great people.

So while I have been in Powerplay from the start in and out of the game, I had a rather unique direction.

Just tonnage, mix doesn't matter.
