Gutamaya ship pilots are discriminated. This has to change.

In the unlikely event that it were to happen, I'd welcome a reduction in width by ~30m to allow it to fit the Medium landing spots, and allow for less tedious planetary landing. A reduction in with and thus mass should also accompany an increase in shield effectiveness, narrower convergence points, and ideally swapping one of the internal 4 slots for a 5 slot.
What you want is a new ship :)

Rest assured, the moment FDev changes specs of ONE old ship, there will be requests to change EVERY old ship. IMHO, the only change which should have been made ages ago is to give the Conda a realistic mass but that ship has sailed long ago (pun intended).

the thing i dont understand.....
the game launched with the conda as it was with magic armour..............

Rather than either lowering the armour rating and keeping the mass and making it an absolute deathtrap without upgrading (lore wise its an old ship so could be explained as being a tin can a bit like the austin metro car of the elite world)

OR making the mass heavier and gimping its jump range to something sensible......

instead when given the opportunity they doubled down and gave it miitary slots on top, making it potentially even more master of all trades!.

The fact it can out explore explorer ships and out combat some combat ships and out trade all but the best trade ships is a damn shame imo. I kind of get the trade angle.... its a big ship so if specced correctly of course it could carry a lot, but that is where FD utterly gimping running costs is a problem.

if running costs were a thing, but with ships like the T9 being the industrial crates with the cheapest running costs, the conda somewhere in the middle and then the cutter being the "range rover off road vehicle" of the elite dangerous shipyard in terms of maintanence then it could still make sense imo.

Certain segments of the playerbase went crazy when shields and hull were due to be rebalanced, I imagine FD were burnt by that and went the other way.
