Claimed system - already has construction ongoing

Purchased a claim to colonise a system only to arrive and find a construction beacon and ship already present. I cannot launch my own beacon and I am locked out of colonising it.

So that's just 25mil down the toilet?

We're having the converse of that problem. Guy has been working his system all day and now it suddenly has someone else's name on it while still in progress.

Would you mind checking whether your name is supplanted as the architect name for the system in the galaxy map?

Well idc about colonization, but at least they could refund our broken canopy HUDs in night vision.
(No mention of that in the patch notes, so basically they seem to have sneakily removed the only feature of Odyssey that was better than Horizons.)

refund to what? the only people doing colinazation are end game players with billions. and if you arent well its your own problem

Anyone know what the red X's indicate? There isn't a legend for them and the tutorial lies when it tells you that it will tell you 'why' you can't colonize a system lol
The red X's just say, "Colonization blocked for this system..." and two of them are ones I bookmarked to colonize and are entirely unremarkable in every way, other than one of them having some tenuous atmosphere bodies.
