Elite Dangerous | Trailblazers OUT NOW!

That means if you fail to finish in the 4 weeks you only lose your 25 million? (and your claim)
...and your time investment! ;) ...also, you could have been making far more Cr doing (almost anything) else ...probably more fun too rather than intensely 'grinding' for supplies

I have the Cr and I don't mind hauling.

Sweet! Can't wait to move into my Iceteroid – Supermancave ™.
Going at it alone, so wish me success Me Hearties!

..And may your building efforts succeed as well CMDRs! o7

just a friendly advice -> it is MUCH more feasable (for Solo Cdr) to do the initial colonization with an Outpost - as for the first Port there is the 4 weeks time limit.
Afterwards you can take all the time you need to establish larger Stations (which Kind ever....)

@Paul_Crowther

For us as a pmf on the edge of the bubble that has been there since beta this colonization feature is not so positive. the systems we wanted were taken by random cmdrs not part of our pmf. They used our pmf to colonize and seem to have been quicker online. Now we're getting more BGS work to do.

Did the dev team think of the possibility that this colonization can be used by individuals to troll pmf's by snatching the systems around them and make them as bad as can be?

Was it known to ED partners and the likes how wide the colonization range would be before it went live and why was this info withheld from the rest of the customers?

Is it true that basically you can work your ass off to colonize towards a certain system you want to architect for months, only to have it snatched away from you at the last moment by somebody else?
Are you planning on building safeguards to prevent that from happening?
We hope to hear from you soon,

Yeah. Please take off at least 50% from the required CMM. It is soul crushingly boring time sink.
Add in something else, more plentiful.

Anyone wanting to make money? There are Carriers buying CMM Composites for a ridiculous amount. Great time too take advantage of supply and demand. Could easily make a billion in a couple of hours if you want to hop systems for them.
Not much to be made because there's no CMM Composites anywhere, the Bubble is being stripped of them at a rate faster than they can be replenished!

Excellent point. Very frustrating that random commanders are (ab)using my pmf to colonize systems that we for bgs-reasons do not want to be colonized. It can also bring us into conflict with neighbouring pmf's with whom we have a friendly relationship.

Sorry if I ask a silly question. But is it possible to sell materials to the Colonization Ships of other CMDRs to help them and earn a little?

I just noticed the system I claimed, void of any infrastructure, is controlled by a player faction.
What's up with that? How can a system like that be under anyone's control? Can I be expecting
some sort of friction with them when they find out in the future?

There's nothing they can do to stop you, so I wouldn't worry about it.

If they really don't want to be in that system then they can work the BGS to put another faction in charge, then retreat themselves. Or they might say "hey, free system" and keep it. Either way you can just keep building the system, since the specific minor faction in charge won't make a difference to that side of things.

It was mentioned from the start that the minor faction that controls the system you choose to colonize from, will be the controlling faction in the system you are architecting. you're not claiming the system, you claimed to be the architect.
I think it's fair to say you might get some friction in the future; maybe prevent that by talking to them on their discord?

Excellent! Thx Ian. I'm really dumb when it comes to PP and BGS. 🤓

I must have missed that point. Well, if that is the case, then they should be grateful that I am providing them with a station for free! Just kidding. Maybe I'll extend my hand in greetings to them on Inara. Whatever happens happens.
I have many guns.

it's not about who has guns or not, it's about having prosperous relations with your selected neighbors.
