Elite Dangerous | Trailblazers OUT NOW!

Saw a notice that CMM Composite refresh rate has increased; if that's true, I'm afraid it's still not enough as this commoditiy is being stripped from shelves constantly due to Colonisation and the ongoing CG. I realise there's a lot of people colonising all at once and part of the Beta's purpose is testing the figures, but ts taking treks to several star systems just to fill my T10's cargo bay, nevermind fill my Fleet Carrier with the 5,000 or so units needed to build even the smallest Outpost. I URGE anyone with the power to make the change to either greatly buff the refresh rate (to several times what it is now), or give stations a flat stockpile in the hundreds of thousands to match the other needed commodities, like Steel and Aluminium. CMMs simply don't have the availability of base metals found in every extration system, so it's a major bottleneck.

If there is a respawn of 5-600 CMM every 10 minutes it doesn't take too much time to top off even the biggest Starport. 50000 CMM / 500 per refresh = 100 * 10 minutes = 17 hours of wait time. That's OK I guess.

It was mentioned from the start that the minor faction that controls the system you choose to colonize from, will be the controlling faction in the system you are architecting.
Strictly, controlling faction of the station you start from.

PMFs who've consolidated control of every station in their systems are just going to have to put up with being expanded further.

The other thing is that if there's that sort of regeneration rate, you can generally rely on getting 500 every time you visit (because supply can't go negative), and if you've got a 700t cargo hold, there are plenty of other refinery-produced commodities you need which can fit in the rest.

Hey folks, here's a question I should have asked before I jumped on this bandwagon... Once our first station is built, how do we start making Cr from our claim?

and if they don't own every station Ian, yet the "Architects" choose their station for whatever reason?
how do you propose to protect the smaller pmf's in this systematic?

I don't believe they need "protecting" in the first place, any more than they need protecting from the possibility that other players might choose to do a bunch of missions for them and get them into a conventional BGS expansion.

Since 2018, all systems have been independent of each other, so being present in an extra system largely only creates extra maintenance work for the player group if they choose to adopt the faction's presence in that system too. Just ignoring it is an option.

If they really don't want to be there, they have the option to set up and lose a control conflict in the new system, and then either set up a Retreat (these aren't going to be high-traffic systems out on the fringes of the bubble), or just ignore it from there on the grounds that they'll probably retreat eventually through random movements if they don't control a station.

Or they can just take it as one more system on their list that they didn't even have to work for and no-one else can claim "but we were there first" on either, and keep it.

Greetings!

in my opinion one expansion per minor faction is something completely different than more than10 colonization's at the same time.
FDev could have and should have foreseen this.

The thing to look out would be other players/group thinking they own "your" faction now because they colonized a system with it and running amok with it.

just letting you know about an orange sidewinder, (back to menu.) when trying to enter game., and a black adder when in combat (back to menu.). also frame rate drops in combat

Closed PMF registration could mean devs don't want us "to play BGS" :D In fact, it is god-like manipulation. If you would live there, you couldn't do such stuff. Instead, they offer property to care. As owner, I would want best states on my stations as it gives best passive income, and I wouldn't care about factions.

Greetings Commanders,

We are aware of reports regarding server issues. We are investigating, please keep an eye on our socials and forums for updates.
To be expected when you have a massive wave of new and old commanders logging on to build new systems and every carrier under the sun moving around to assist.
wasn't able to even move mine last night because the server couldn't keep up.

you guys are doing very well now ^~^
best update in years i would say
