janitors getting stuck everywhere

this bug is starting to be realy detrimental bug when it comes to gameplay. they literally get stuck everywhere, moving them resolves the issue for a short time and untill they get stuck somewhere else. any new if this is gonna be adressed in the next patch? this has been happening since release 😅
i sometimes find a corner of my park where literally 7 janitors just standing around :/

I also had this kind of problem since the last patch. It was related to the zones assigned to the janitors.
If you have defined some zones : Check your zones, they could be corrupted (check information about the zone like the size). If it is the case, delete the zone and recreated it and reassign the janitor to this new zone. If the Janitors are still stuck, try to not assign any zone and check the behaviour of the janitors. On my side, they restart to move.
Do not forget to save and reload your saved game just after, it can solve the problem too.

The Janitor issue is realy getting ridiculous. they are not cleaning up bins, trash is everywhere on paths and im constantly getting bombarded with messages about dirty toillets. what am i supposed to do? hire 50 janitors for one area alone?

Suggestion : share your park in the workshop (send me a private message) I may help you to find some solutions for your stuck Janitors and dirty paths.

thanks i appreciate your help. but id rather have frontier fix these issues as its clearly a bug. ive just wanted to bring again attention to this issue becuase its been around since release of the game (first issue report dates back to november, up untill the latest patch i have seen this issue also reported).

this is very clearly bugged, janitors are either not cleaning up properly spread around the park or the guests are bugged and simply litter anywhere... or both.
last picture shots i clearly have two bins placed there and both bins are empty yet guests decide to litter on the paths despite bins everywhere.

Uhm, how many Janitors do you have actually? For 8000 peeps I would guess 50-60ish all in all, else you may stack up on them. I don't think it is an issue per se, but once you reach 5000-6000ish guests you really need to top up your management game coming to trash cleaning, more and spread toilets, etc.

Sometimes the 'hard reset' helps close the park, let your cleaners clean up, hire a few more and reopen the park. Sometimes it happens that you reach the critical point where the cleaning backlog grows more than you have to clean. Also just by this plaza alone, i would guess you are also lacking bins. Maybe 4 more spread around the park, the screen clearly shows how the litter is spread, give your peeps a chance to pass a trashcan

i will look how many janitors i have and try stocking them up, see how that handles.

regarding the bins, you can see in that last picture there is clearly a bin placed to the right side next to those trees, actually its 2 bins there. and 5-8 meters to the side of it is trash on the ground. cant be that i have to spam my paths with bins? guests dont seem to take any detours whatsoever to reach bins

yes, i saw the one bin on the side, suprisingly there is no trash ;) Look at real parks, you can't walk 10m without seeing a bin. And no plaza has only one bin, most have more small bins spread around the plaza.

and yes guests don't take much of detour maybe 5-10m all in all, so spread is the keyword, both sides of a plaza and maybe just in the middle if you want a plaza breaker. The double bin does not much, besides being a backup, but that doesn't account for the guests on the other side of the plaza near the fence/grass area.

Hmm seems like i was taking the wron approach then, i had the feeling i was placing to many bins😂
I will take a look into that, thanks for the tipps.

Just an example: This plaza is supported by 14 bins all in all, yes there is still a lot work in progress and the bins are all over the place, but this is an issue for future me, so easy rule of thumb: Watch where your guests walk, place bins on the most common paths, watch where the litter appears and try to counteract it. Also chokepoints, ride entries, exits, buildings etc. are excellent placements.

If you want to 'save on bins' place more and regularly check which are not used and remove it. (yes, you have to skip the bincover for this one)
