I noticed there was a reasonably big update recently. Any changes to the narrative (any puzzles to solve like weird signals that need decoding or any mysteries or exploration to be done)?

Not that I know of. The new colonization feature is keeping commanders busy enough for the time being.

There have been reports that the destroyed Titans have begun to reassamble in a way and emit new sounds, so that might be a point for some research.
I‘ve not been there yet, so can’t confirm anything myself.
