The Station of CERTAIN Death.

Alec Turner video with a successful dock in 3..2..1
lol ... so I did visit the station today but I think I'm going to have to admit defeat on this one! 🤣

While I was inside the station I did notice an npc ship coming in through the mailslot so I developed a theory that maybe they knew "the way" and I have about 25 minutes of video of me tailgating various different npc ships on their final approach but despite getting close none of them ever fully committed so the score is Lantern Light 5 Turner 0 at the moment I'm afraid (and I still have no idea how the npc ships I observed from inside ever made it in).

Hilarious!

I've heard multiple times that when you are inside the station the NPCs can get in because you are the reference for the NPCs, not the station and its movement around that star. Don't know if it is correct though.

The person who built this station absolutely did so to see if this would happen. Given how fast they spin and wobble, there was only one outcome.

I hope Frontier doesn't fix it (at least in a way that makes it a normal station). Imagine Mitterrand Hollow if it was just another boring location, on boring dusty rock with a normal boring orbit.

Stations at neutrons and dwarfs should at least whip around at high velocities and be a bit weird to get to. Adds some spice to life. Leave it in, Frontier, it's hilarious (can always warn players that the station will have a very eccentric orbit for such bodies).

There are I am sure a few quirky locations that stations and outposts can end up at. I hope as many remain as possible.
No, he built it because he wanted to boost his FSD when leaving his station.

I am not sure.. but the few have tried it, DIED fiery deaths. Both getting out and in... the only escape is the ESCAPE POD.

This IS the station of CERTAIN death.
There's no escape pods on stations, IIRC. You'd have to either use the unstuck thing, or launch then quit to menu while in station and load back in to get back out.

I could be wrong but I think there are escape pods down in the concourse if you disembark. You can also escape by getting sent to a detention center. I think I accidentally rammed an npc to death so when I died that’s what happened to me.

I tried using an Apex to get there, you don't die, you just get sick to your stomach as the pilot attempts to follow the entrance...

Using Apex to leave, IS death..
