Has Frontier bought Mega Hamsters?

Who would have thought that adding thousands of outposts, stations, and markets virtually overnight would require a massive increase in processing power?

At least they are making boatloads of cash by selling naming rights (I expect)...

I'm starting to wonder if the issue they discovered with colonization was that the servers couldn't handle the combined load of carrier and colony ship jumps. "No time slot" for carrier jumps might well have equated to colony ships failing to jump/spawn as well, and this would "greatly impact the ability to claim systems." That would also be the sort of thing that would take considerable time to sort out. Imagine if they have to do things like purchase and allocate additional hardware, separate colony ship operations from fleet carrier operations and allocate them to different system resources, and/or go through the game code like mad looking for ways to streamline operations. Maybe they are making upgrades.

Elite runs in AWS, so "hardware" deployment can be measured in minutes per server. Whether your application stack can incorporate another server quickly (and is truely n-tier so scales out) is another matter entirely.

I'm sitting here jumping one of my FCs back to the bubble, it is EU peak time and my timer stubbornly remains in the 15 minute segment...

Brilliant! Whatever has been tweaked, I approve, 100%

Thanks!
I feel like they did something to resolve this earlier in the week. I feel like around Tuesday I was no longer seeing time slot errors or 1 hour 15 minutes jump times during peak hours. However today I am seeing Mauve Adder errors every 1 to 10 minutes.
