Are my zoo lost forever?

Hello,
I came back to the game after a long break, unfortunatly some of my franchise Zoo crash during loading. My game is entirely vanilla, i have all the DLC installed. I never experienced things such as this before.
Any idea what could cause this, it's pretty annoying i can't open some of my best parks, i hope it's not lost forever.

Check MyZoos and see if there is an earlier save that works.

I've attached an example from my zoo list showing that I have multiple autosave zoos I can roll back to if the latest one crashes. If you don't have any other items listed for the zoos in question you might be out of luck.

But, depending on how long ago you stopped playing it might be just as easy to start over with the gameplay updates that may have been added since you last played.

Also, in the future, if you take long term breaks from the game, you could always take a back up of your files just in case something goes wrong.
My saved games are in my C:/User/<UserName>/Saved Games/Frontier Developments/Planet Zoo/<SomeSortOfIDNo>/Saves/ Folder. The file name will have the same random letters/numbers as can be seen on the zoo list if you just wanted to copy specific ones.

Nope, as long as you make a copy as per my post above, just in case Steam has problems. But so far touch wood I haven't lost any zoos across several window reinstalls or PC changes. But, seeing as my enjoyment is making the zoos I don't tend to worry about losing them. But it is force of habit to copy over important files before doing window / pc related installs.

Check if you have any autosaves that you can load and a tip upload your finished zoo’s to the steamworkshop so you can download them again at any time you want.
