Elite Dangerous | System Colonisation Beta Details & Feedback

Do we know if the factions placed in a newly colonized system are now native to that system? Can they be retreated in BGS?
I’m assuming they are non native and can be retreated but it would be cool in my opinion if they were considered native.

Two trips in medium sized ship? Oh no!!!! Not a medium sized ship!
So instead of 90 trips 180 is just fine? You're right, that is double plus good.

We need something that will help us transport and deliver cargo to new colonies faster... maybe:
*New cargo ship;
*New type of cargo racks;
*Or as an option, an NPC pilot (now the NPC pilot is used only for combat, but there are 3 available slots. Why not pay the NPC pilot credits and, depending on his merchant rank, increase the possible volume of transportation of goods, and he would also receive % of income, as does a combat pilot?
points for attaching additional containers?
*There may be modules\compartments\shuttles for an aircraft carrier with additional containers or special a ship without hyper jumps, for a single system with large racks.

anything at all, long transportation is very exhausting. It's really cool to build a colony! but you may get tired of spending a lot of time on transportation.

Sure, here you go:

It goes green when you've committed to it.
Yes, I see that but the actual terrain affected is often well beyond those buildings, like the excavation site is 2-3 times that extent. It would be nice to see a blue/green oval representing this in addition to the blue/green buildings.
Here's an extreme example of odd terrain generation where the game raised a big plateau to support a small settlement placed on a mountainside for some reason. Preferably the settlement should be placed into the hill, not placed up on a plateau that looks out of place.

To be fair it doesn't look bad, I'm guessing its done so you can land there?

Doesn't look bad but looks a bit out of place. I was expecting it to be closer to the level of the base of the mountain, dug into the hillside more, not put up on an artificial plateau.
What would be really great would be the option to delete/remove a newly placed settlement when the effects on nearby terrain are not to one's liking.

As I have said a few times now, that isn't the final product. The way that looks will be nothing like what it'll look like when it's completed and the actual settlement is shown.

A reason that looks so raised up is the work site takes up a vast area. When you're placing the settlement, you do not see that at all, you only see the blue->green ghost image of the settlement. If you placed it anywhere near any kind of uneven terrain, the game places the work site so that it is level with the highest part of the terrain that it demands (around centre-origin, I would hazard a guess), which is not the same as what your settlement will demand.

It's temporary. You may still see some flattening when it's all done. It is very unlikely going to look anything close to that image though, by virtue of the actual settlement being much smaller.

It will be! Whatever you saw when you placed the blue ghost of the settlement is roughly where it will be. If you placed it too close to the levitated terrain, there may still be some "ridging" at the lower terrain, and "cutting away" at the higher, but it won't be nearly as extreme as in that image.

All that said, you have chosen quite a slope there (to me, you have suggested that is the "base" of the mountain, but the terrain does appear to continue to slope down, towards the camera?) So I imagine there will be a ridge and a cutaway when it's done. Just not so dramatic as that, because (and I repeat :D), the work site is gigantic.

All faction entering a colonized system are ALL non-native and can be all retreated, BUT a colonized system cannot become empty since no retreat are possible if there is 3 faction left.

Has anyone been successful in getting a war to start in their colonized system? I tried by bumping up the influence of a PMF. The rise in influence was successfully but it just took 2nd position when it should have started a war (influence lines crossed with no conflict started). My primary port has been completed since March 3rd so I've seen a couple of weekly ticks.

Factions won't go to war/election if they don't own assets. Ryders/Monarchy don't own any assets in that system.
