Mandalay ship kit coloring change

I noticed a couple weeks ago the previously white cannisters on the Mandalay ship kit were changed to Yellow. I purchased this ship kit the first day it was available and have a trip's worth of screenshots to Beagle Point and Colonia with them as white. They look great as white, not so great in yellow.

Is this an intended change of the ship kit, or is this a bug?

Has anyone else noticed this? Every new Mandalay I purchase comes with the same yellow cannisters in the ship kit. Honestly, this shade of yellow feels out of place, it clashes with nearly all the paint jobs. It's quite unappealing.

Unfortunately, I do not see any option or way to change the color of the cannister's from within the livery, both in-game or from the main menu Game Extras menu.

Mine are yellow. I am not overly keen on the ship kit (I wanted the paintjob), but looking at your picture, yeah the white looks better imo.

i dont own the kit but if it is randomly generated i would try removing the kit
deleting the gpuworktable.xml from the product folder
then going to a different station and re applying the kit to see if that changes the colour generated?
but it should be reported in the bug reporting forum as you are not getting what you originally purchased and have every right to demand a fix or refund if desired via a support ticket if that option does not become available either way support should be made aware via a support ticket methinks

Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue and the cannisters are still yellow.

you could still claim a refund as that is not what you were sold by there own admission if you really did prefer the void of colour ie white you were sold
and wanted refund

Nah, maybe this is the moment FDev realizes they should add color variants to the ship kits. I mean, that other space game finally gave us the ability to recolor parts... it's so nice to not have to just deal with so many pastel off-pink ships anymore over there :LOL:
