Time Limits on Station Construction

I propose that FDev remove time limits on construction for all ground settlements and space stations. However, keep the time limit in place only for the initial claim, and to deploy the Nav Beacon.

From what I see, many solo players are only creating a small space outpost, and jumping to the next system to create the next. By having the time limits removed, it would allow people to have the ability to construct at their own leisure, while supporting creativity.

There is no time limit except for the claim beacon, which is 24 hours, and initial port, which is four weeks.

I don't think this is about the time limits (a whole month/4 weeks is a relatively generous period unless you only have say, 30 minutes a day to play) as much as people creating outposts to reach a location which they actually would like to build in, which is accomplished fastest by building said outposts.

Sorry, I dont get it... it is literally in the first paragraph of the OP.

Edit: I also doubt time limits have anything to do with people only building an outpost and moving on and everything to do with people being set on reaching a certain dream system.

I meant people leaving an outpost behind in their wake are just doing it because they are going somewhere else. Hence, me making the comment to tell/suggest to the OP that (at least not all) the outposts are being built purely because there's a 4 week time limit on primary port construction.

This wasn't the intent of my initial post. I was under the assumption that all star ports and ground installations had a time limit. Helmut answered my question.

P.s. I don't have issues with the 4wk period for the initial starport.

I guess the way I read it was incorrect then and I thought you were specifically talking about the initial 4 week time limit, and this was why people were building so many outposts, but I suppose not. Case closed, anyway.

It could just be the commodity requirements. I know quite a few people find them prohibitive or just too high in general.
