Server issues

last night I was having all sorts of trouble. not just elite but all my online games. steam refused to even load and was stuck on initialising.
the web worked and a speed test came in at 130MB which whilst not maxing out my 150 was close enough.
I tried uninstalling, reinstalling and eventually was about to do a full windows reset. luckily I didn't as a reboot of my router and fibre box fixed it . a really odd bug given my internet was working.
if you have issues and not everyone else is. 1st port of call should be reboot any routers , switches and what not imo. I forgot that rule
 
Since yesterday, it has been almost impossible to access the game through the Internet line of LG U+, Korea's third largest ISP, and even when connected, most of the systems are displayed as anarchy and are very slow. I'm using two internet lines, LG U+ and KT(The Largest ISP in Korea), and KT internet was fine. Maybe There's a problem with some ISPs.

Check your router first and change to fixed port mapping if you can. Also, try solo mode to avoid connecting to player instances.

If you still have issues, politely contact your ISP and ask them if they are aware that Elite Dangerous is a "proper" service and that players connect for Peer to Peer gaming. Provide the protocol and port information, and some official links.

Some ISPs have been known to monitor, limit or block low port UDP traffic, especially a stream of UDP going to and from a service they aren't familiar with - like you connecting to random players game instances all over the world (and vice-versa.)

Yes, that is good advice: always start with "Is this a problem on my end?" in troubleshooting. I spent about 15 minutes checking that. But everything else was running fine... only Elite wouldn't connect. Also, the down detector - https://downdetector.com/status/elite-dangerous/ - which I checked at the beginning of my troubleshooting (and already showed an uptick when I started my troubleshooting) shot up even higher by the time I was convinced it wasn't on my end.
 
Server connections bad again tonight. I've been disconnected (Mauve Adder) 4 or 5 times (I lost track). I've given up for the night.

Down detector is showing a spike of reports, so it isn't just me. And all my other network apps are working fine.

Does solo help?
If not for participating in the CG (in Open, or nothing for me), I'd rather go Thargoid practice which I resumed yesterday (these are much more challenging than pew pew at the CZ's ..)
 
In the past week my connection has gone to complete crap. I've been playing for years without any problems.

In the past week I've been getting kicked out of game to the main menu multiple times in a given session, I'm loading the game and getting "Can't connect" errors despite the server status being "Good" ... I'm constantly getting "Matchmaking" errors and disconnects despite only playing solo.

My load time are horrendously long also ... something is definitely going on.
 
Started playing at 9:30pm US Central. No connections issues.
Plenty of commanders in SC and at the station, but I met only 2 in total at the CZ's... wondering if I was thrown into empty instances...
 
Mine has been bad the past few weeks, east coast US. Don't know if its the internet, the region, servers, everything else seems to be fine. I did do a router/modem reset last week. I think the only thing that kinda urks me is that I usually start the night by taking a bunch of missions at the same time. I've been doing odyssey content lately, so when I get booted by the time I can get back on all of the mission timers ran out and just one failed mission after another. Happened last night again. Everyone likes me... everyone hates me... ooo they like me again... nope, no they don't. :confused:
 
Why has my fleet carrier management panel disappeared? I've tried restarting the game, but the issue persists. I'm not behind on payments, nor have I sold my fleet carrier. Currently, the only way I can access the fleet carrier management panel is through the small interface on the fleet carrier captain's seat.

I haven't been able to log in to the game for three days now.
The game crashes when loading a few seconds after selecting either "Open Game" or "Solo Game" or "Private Group Session".
"Arena" and "Training" are starting normally. Another account on the same PC plays without problems

Sounds like you need to contact Support.

If you're currently using IPv4, try using IPv6. You can always change it back again. If this fixes it for a bunch of people, that demonstrates that Telstra are doing something horrible with IPv4 traffic.

Unfortunately I am with Aussie Broadband FTTP and none of this fixes the issue. Fact is the game has developed massive connection problems for me since Trailblazer update.
@Paul_Crowther ... are these connection issues being look at ?
