I guess the auditor boilerplate about 'misleading journals' may actually refer to some legislation with teeth?

Guess we'll see if the blog shows up.
AFAIK that refers to the UK filing documents themselves, not the blog. The auditors scope and potential liability is strictly limited to verifying the official filings, not the blog. CIG can say whatever they want elsewhere, not PWC’s problem and they won’t comment.

If the blog itself is eventually found untrue, and since CIG’s shares are not traded in public stock markets, that would probably fall rather under the false advertising, fraudulent misrepresentation or something along those lines I reckon.

Yeah looks like the 'misleading journal entries' stuff refers to internal bookkeeping etc.

Interesting wee theory under Camural's vid:

Worst part is while salaries went up, the social security and pensions were not going up as much. So you can easily guess the devs they got are way younger than before or they are using fixed term contracts to save costs (p34) for reference 3.3M£ in 2022 for social security vs 3.8M£ for a total of 573 employees in 2022 vs 854 in 2023

This patch is all over the place. Sometimes I drop into the clips and it looks stable, if kinda sparsely populated. And with the standard 'X is not working' bugginess.

Others it's like today. Berk's ship exploding for no reason. Landing gear graveyards as far as the eye can see. Just like a pretty scene from hell ;)
And all that when we are still under the reduced server player cap Benoit Beausejour imposed a week ago, correct?

Just skipping through Linkedin. Intrigued to see Server Meshing departee Roger talking about Dunning-Kruger, for no apparent reason...

So the reason I was linkedin diving was just to visualise this sudden burst of promotions. 8 days into April and it already looks like this.

Def feels like some money got unlocked ;).

Could be the loan. Could be something tied to the new financial year, like tax credits or whatever? But either way, it feels a touch hand-to-mouth.

(The mini surge in Jan is interesting too, but it doesn't necessarily align with the share issue. That was Jan 15th in theory, but these are spread throughout the month. Also seemed to be some churn at the time.)

(I have tried visualizing the daily entries, but it ends up looking like a multi-coloured shark attack. More excel skills needed )

Oh yeah while I was on the Linkedin dip I noticed this guy too. A Snr on a 6m contract seemingly, ended in Dec 2024:

You do get the odd Art freelancer, but they're normally based abroad. Could be a sign CIG used FTCs more through 2024.

(They're also advertising for a Snr Animator on contract at the moment. All the other jobs are full time though.)
