Planet Zoo Idea: Mediterranean DLC and free update

I mean, probably a little controversial as a pick as they're very much extinct in the wild and a (discredited) subspecies to boot, Barbary Lion could give Frontier an excuse to get a fixed lion model in that everyone always complains at.

I also am at a point where I really want a marten in the game, so either Pine marten or beech marten would work here.

Honestly most of the stuff I'd want would be birds: Northern Bald Ibis, Eurasian Spoonbill, Cattle Egret (very useful supporting bird for tons of setups) and White or Black Stork.

Though locally extinct below the Aswan Dam, Nile Crocodiles could work too?

I think that the Barbary Lion could work as Frontier have added species that are also extinct in the wild (like the Scimitar-Horned Oryx which might be the only extinct in the wild species in the game but I'm not sure), it will be a better quality model than the lion in the game now (as Frontier have got years of more experience since then) and the black/dark brown areas of fur make it look unique. For the Martens, either species could work in the game as they are different to anything that we currently have (my favourite of the two would be the Pine Marten though). For the birds, they could work but Frontier hasn't added any species that can "authentically" fly, if they wanted to add them, or some, they would most likely be non-flying but they could be able to fly. The Nile Crocodile could work but might be too similar to the Saltwater Crocodile, but again maybe. Thanks for your suggestions Alexjh!

A bit of a long list for waterfowl: maybe the Ruddy Shelduck, Pink-Backed Pelican, Eurasian Bittern, Little Bittern, Cattle Egret (already mentioned), Glossy Ibis, Purple Swamp-Hen, and the Demoiselle Crane?

My most wanted animals for this (there are too many and some would be unlikely though):

Normal Exhibit: Ibiza Wall Lizard or maybe the Tyrrhenian Wall Lizard, Blue-Tailed Damselfly, Violet Dropwing, Northern Spectacled Salamander, Moor Frog, Platyceps Sinai, a type of Anole.
Walk-through Exhibit: Vestal Moth, common blue butterfly.

Habitat: Florida Red-Bellied Cooter aka Florida Redbelly Turtle, Loggerhead Sea Turtle, Pine Marten, Striped Dolphin, European bee-eater, Racoon Dog, Barbary Lion, Eurasian Griffon Vulture, cattle egret, Eurasian hoopoe, northern lapwing, Pink-Backed Pelican, demoiselle crane, Barbary Lion.

What are everyone else's most wanted animals?

As mentioned before,
Mediterranean pack would work for me with
Barbary Sheep (maybe a clone, but useful imo, at least it is in 2 of zoos I'm trying to recreate)
Barbary Ape (I love my zoo tycoon 2 animals)
Pelican
European Genet
Egyptian Mongoose
Green Sea Turtle (it's maybe not commonly seen in zoos, but I've seen at least one, and they kinda need land for reproduction so they shouldn't be traited as "fish")
Chameleon (exhibit) (I'd rather take panther/jackson/veiled, but any would be great)

Very good suggestion Barje, thanks!

I think some of your suggestions are far too ambitious - dolphins and ospreys? Bee-eaters and griffin vultures?

I like the concept of a Mediterranean pack, however. Barbary macaque, barbary sheep, Dalmatian pelican, golden jackal - these are great animals I'd like to see. Someone even suggested the Barbary lion - as much as I'd prefer a second lion to be the Asiatic, I would totally accept the Barbary lion for the sake of a better (and unmodded) model.

What Mediterranean construction pieces would you like to see? I would like statues of Ancient Greek and Roman gods, heroes, characters, and monsters and flexicolor detail pieces (there are similar pieces already in Planet Coaster 2, which could be a pro or con). Maybe some small gold items as well? The top image is of the minitour.
