Bulk buy from stations.

Ok, this is more than a little wishful thinking, and a large slice of laziness lol, but I want to suggest a bulk buy button (1k plus for example) if you own a carrier and it is detected in the same system. So then if you need say 5k steel, 6k titanium etc you can bulk buy it providing it is in stock and then a few station haulers deliver it to your carrier in real time.

Also....🤔....if you bulk buy (as in your example 1k's worth of stuff) I would have thought some type of discount would be available (logically), perhaps some other useful perk such as some choice of other commodity to go with it?...example 10 Osmium or Low Temp Diamonds for example.

How about if you bulk buy you don’t get charged for storage for the first hour/day/week/month.

I don’t object to being able to reserve cargo.

It is frustrating jumping your carrier into a system to load up, then a bunch of other carriers turn up and you end up with half a load.

But I really wish people would stop trying to automate the entire game.
As someone that doesn't have a carrier, and most like will never get one unless they release that is actually designed for personal use, I must say that this is one place in this game where automation make perfect sense.
If you, in real life, own a container ship and buy 1k tones of steel, you would not be expected to go to the supplier, pick up a container, drive it to a cargo ship, repeat untill all the steel is loaded on the ship. The factory would deliver this to the harbour. The dock workers would then load your ship. How you get the stuff away from the next harbour after it's unloaded is up to you though.

There's a lot of things in this game that probably would be "automated" in real life, that shouldn't be in the game. But the "personal" carriers were designed to be used by squadrons, not single commanders, and that shows. So unless they want to give us an actuall personal fleet carrier, some adjustments probably should be made.

I’ll quietly wince at the ship related issues of you analogy… 😆

I kinda get the reasoning behind FDev’s decision, but it’s always irked me that we have all these ships buzzing around the carrier but, even with a buy order, you’re reliant on players to load and discharge. It doesn’t make you feel like a part of a living galaxy.
