To VIP or not to VIP

Clipper cargo capacity: 250 tons
Corsair cargo capacity: 318 tons

Judging by the size of the ships, and just looking at the cockpit size of each one, the Clipper must have a VIP lounge bar inside, and only rear part of the ship is for cargo, that's so cool 😄

And the Corsair has more hull bracing to handle the SCO Drive.

All they had to do was narrow the Clipper to the Corsair's width by sectioning the wings, relocate the large hard points, and let it SCO smoothly. Clipper Mk II. So much work went into the exterior aesthetics of the Corsair when all we see when we fly it is the Courier cockpit anyway, but with disappointing flight characteristics, and the Clipper dilemma remains unsolved.

The Clipper has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and a lot of unused space just because it can.

It is so vast, so luxurious, so rich in intricate details, that it is giving a hard time to FDev and the very reason ship interior is not available yet.

iEagle, iCourier and now the Corsair, are the working Imperial's ships. They have avoided indentured servitude and want to flaunt their limited success in a Gutamaya ship. These ships are meant to get the job done while still looking like their pilots could bask if they had the time.

Clipper and Cutter, those are status symbols that the wealthy and powerful get carted around in for their various dealings. Also, of course, your CMDR with too much time and money will have a gutted Cutter to fill with stuff.
