Elite Dangerous | System Colonisation Beta Details & Feedback

Hey just in case because I don't know if anyone upvote this ticket; it's about system attribute values (development, wealth etc) not being applied to stations being built AFTER the building bonuses. I haven't found a ticket mentioning this so I made one. I'm heavily leaning onto this as being the same problem that other people have with stations being built with the proper economy influencers on the same body or orbit of said body not applying an economy shift if the station is built AFTER the economy ones. If they're both a problem that is part of the same bag, it might be worth upvoting.

I presume it might also be 'wait until FDev patches economic influence to work as advertised' which has an unknown ETA. We're still very much in a Beta.

Yep I agree on the Beta.

There's no way they intended the galaxy to have 35,000 stations selling biowaste, and they also seem to be playing catch-up each week. (e.g. maintenance taking 90 mins these days instead of 20)

create 1000's of new local chats vs. the same talk about wedding barges etc.
I suggested maybe 10 years ago on a a very old account, even that they could run a small competition for players to submit one-liners.
In terms of voice lines, I'm all for giving voice actors more work, but Freelancer still has the best "immersion" using pieced together samples.
Local enforcement: "Mind if I take a look in your hold?" ...no pause... "Didn't think so!" :D

The main hold up right now is an update to explanation of Economy workings, or at least a vague idea of how it is supposed to go.
Who knows, given ED's predilection for such things, someone with a good grip of mathematics is having a stab at an algorithm that "should" work. Would certainly explain why small tweaks upset things.

I can't even get facilities on planets to affect stations orbiting those planets.

E.g. build a refinery hub on planet A. Build a coriolis around planet A. Build a second hub on planet A. Coriolis only sells Biowaste with a colony economy.

No more slots on planet A or in orbit around it to influence things further.

Is it a question of waiting a week or four for the economy to update, or is this another wasted build?
Yeah things appear broken at the moment as others have reported the same kind of issue. I think we have to wait and see what happens with FDs fixes.

My two cents...

I see a lot of people stating they cannot get an economy working but they've built a station and planetary hubs etc. You also need to improve the system tech level, security and population, population happiness/quality of life (with farm installations, medical installations etc.). It's a whole eco-system rather than just a "lego build" a does b thing.

My system has an orbis and that planet has military, refinery, mining and extraction and the orbis economy reflects these and is altered whenever I build a new planetary something. I also have (in the system) a medical installation, relay installation, satellite, comms, space farm, mining outpost (T1) and some others I can't remember atm. I built it all with a "real life" outlook. As a member of population, would I want to go and work in an outhouse with a keyboard, or a penthouse office with gym, restaurant, sleeping pods a secretary?

What are you saying is very true.
But it doesn't work anymore. At all.
The FDev have completely broken the economic system influence a few days ago.
If you try to repeat the same thing you did there in another system, you'll see.

They did exactly what we were told and reverted the changes. Some people were expcting a small revert. Currently it appears they reverted the economy changes all the way back to what it was on release. Nuked it all. Hopefully some elements of both solutions come back.

3 ticks & my Coriolis still in limbo
Cheers to Fdev throw a medical ethanol bottle

unfortunately not - in the beginning influence of surface structures on orbital and ground stations was working. now nothing works anymore.....

thats not how I remember things - and I started building on Feb 26
We started day one. We built refineries on planets under stations and nothing happened. they they started tweating just build on the body which we'd had done and after that they started coming online once more was built. Some people could have lucked out but our testing was nothing for the first week or two and then things started coming online bit by bit. Now they're off again which is for me just like week 1.

You are completley wrong.
Those levels have nothing to do with market economy.
As soon as you build 1 hub the colony market would switch to 50/50%
Btw your market sucks, you have combined economies that eat each others production for no gain
