Fleet Carrier Cargo Transfer

I have just recently got my Fleet Carrier and there is something that I am noticing is rather "annoying/a grump" and that is transferring cargo from the carrier to my ship.

When you transfer cargo from your ship to your carrier you can use the "Transfer all cargo" option instead of going to each type and holding "Right" on it to increase the number.

When you want to take it off you carrier, that is exactly what you need to do, move the box to each item and hold "Left" to increase the number to transfer to your carrier.

Would it be possible to have the option of transferring from your carrier to your ship, "Click Item" Steel for example, "Mini menu pop's up", options would be in the "Mini menu" have an option for "Fill 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%" and if you don't click on it, you can transfer as currently "Holding button down" to increase number.

I am not a Graphic Designer etc so this is a rough idea :ROFLMAO: and I mean rough

I’ve moved over 300k tons of cargo these last two weeks so I’ve had plenty of time to stare at that transfer all to ship button being greyed out. I think the button should function along the lines of first in last out. The simple explanation is you deliver cargo to your carrier, each load gets stacked on the last. When you unload your carrier using the transfer all to ship button you are just unstacking everything.

The thing is, that cargo transfer page needs some reworking already. I have no idea how cargo is sorted. It’s not alphabetical or by amount or by type (metals, chemicals, technology, scrap). If you gather everything needed to build an outpost for colonization, the list will go, [medical diagnostic equipment 1~, steel 6~~~,] and so on (I don’t remember more). There is that filters button at the top but I'm pretty sure that it just limits what type of cargo can be seen (metals, chemicals, etc).

My proposal is a little bit differtent and very knoweledge for players into the RPG games, management games and Star Citizen :geek:

@GraphicEqualizer very interesting and deeper work. Fior me, synthesis system is now duplicated. You only need synthesis over the system that you have into the build and only go to Modules Tab for made it.

I would prefer to hold shift and then click once to transfer maximum amount of single ware to my ship (up to maximum allowed).
Right now when I'm moving materials I'm using mixed approach- market interface for materials required in bulk (steel, titanium, etc.) and slow direct transfer for everything else that is lower than my max cargo limit. Just keep in mind buying from Your own carrier is bugged now (cargo doesn't appear on ship until 2nd visit to carrier market is made).

Alternatively, buy cargo from your own carrier, close the carrier market window, open the carrier market window again - this updates your ship with the correct amount of cargo which will also show in your ship's inventory.

It's a bit of a kludge workaround but I set up sell orders at stupidly inflated prices. Buying in bulk from your carrier is much, much faster than cargo transfers and the credits are only transferring from your ship wallet to your FC.

BUT you then, of course, encounter the bug where commodities purchased from your carrier aren't available in your ship inventory until you do a dummy re-open & exit of the commodity buying screen on your FC.

I'll get my coat ...

Or after you have jumped to your destination as if unladen then reloged to get the cargo to appear in your ship.

Why is this even part of the ship panels to begin with?

Everyone seems to agree the commodity market is a far better UI, just make a copy of it, call it warehouse. The buy tab is renamed to withdraw and shows anything available, rename the sell tab to deposit and make it show only things in your ship inventory. Remove the credit labels. Make it accessible only to the owner. Done. Bonus, let me make it available to friends or squadron as well just like docking access.

buttons with percentages - inconvenient thing when you need to move the exact amount of cargo. better make a field for entering numbers from the keyboard!
