DLC20 Discussion (maybe, but why not?)

They did say "later this year". Last time they said that was when they teased that Zookeepers was coming, so I think it only makes sense to just expect a similar timeline again.

I already see plenty of people look at a summer release but frankly I think the same argument applies as last year. They probably would have said "later this summer" instead of "later this year" if they meant the summer.
I think you are right.

But also they’ve said later this year and yet wanted us to keep our eyes on their socials, so maybe they’ve meant an earlier date than late autumn. We will see soon enough.

Maybe the second DLC is coming sooner, and we will get one more DLC not included in any bundle by December?

Depends on when the next pack comes out, and also if they continue afterwards, but what do you guys think would be a good anniversary animal for this year?
Something "good" IMO would be something they kept avoiding for one reason or another (i.e. coatis, maras). But realistically it's gonna be something that is relatively low-effort like Nile crocodiles or American black bears.

Or one during the summer, one in December and final one in spring 2026.

It’s impossible to know what they have in store for us. But nothing is impossible now.

Except for flying birds and fish that would be main selling point of planet zoo 2.

I really hope, if its a Safari animal pack,
that they could include one of the following:

Bat-eared Fox is a good complement to the Fennec. Its not needed, but it would at least to me, be cool.
Black-backed Jackal would be the Old World equivalent to the Coyote. Jackals in general are somewhat common in European zoos as far as I know... The black-backed is really colorful variety. It would add a smaller canid to the classical safari regions as would the bat-eared fox.
Aardwolf is the most unique of Hyenas since it eats insects but its not too common in zoos... It would be easy to make I'd assume being based off of the Striped Hyena. It is also technically not yet another dog, so maybe its the best choice of the three.
My most wanted animal to see in the game is Bat-eared Fox but the other two would be just as welcome to me, probably not the community though :(

i would love another africa pack ngl - maybe something like : great white pelican, kudu/eland, mantled guereza/gelada/olive baboon, crested crane/marabu, honeybadger, civet/mongoose, gerenuk/impala, i would love grevys zebra but i can understand it would be probably an unpopular pick, you can also add some canine or feline like jackal or serval but im not too crazy about those, personally i hope nile crocodile wont take a slot

Lion tailed macaque is from the Western Ghats mountains and jungles, not savanna so it won’t fit unfortunately.

Good savanna monkey might be the grey langur to pair with blackbuck.

At this point I still want at least 20 new animals but I would be happy with at least pelican and Père David’s deer.

To answer my own question: To probably noones surprise i really want a monkey in such a pack, and imo there are a couple cool options that would be great to have in the game.

Patas Monkey: Probably my personal favorite species of african monkeys irl. They are a true grasslands species and therefore arguably one of, if not the best fitting primates for such a pack. They are also open habitat specialist and therefore more suitable for the game then most monkeys, so they wouldnt look weird spending most of their time on the floor.

Grivet Monkey: Africa is still lacking a more traditional monkey species, and these would be a cool option that fits a safari/savanna pack.

Rhesus Macaque: India is also for sure in need of a monkey and this is a super versatile species in terms of biomes as they inhabit anything from arid and open habitats, to high altitude forest in the himalayan foothills, tropical areas and perhaps most infamously cities. And while these are kind of a vanilla or boring looking species of monkey, imo thats something we dont really have in the game.

Hanuman Langur: Honestly alot of the same perks as the macaque. Would also make great use of the langur rig that we got with the proboscis monkey back in the days which is just sitting there collecting dust.

If we get a safari/African pack, I wouldn't be surprised if they choose the Barbary macaque. After all, Frontier is a British company!
