Elite Dangerous | Trailblazers Update 3 | Now Live!

I had it happen when I decided to reboot the game, couldn't get back in. Guess I shouldn't have done that :(
It also says incorrect checksum manifest if I verify game files via launcher. Tried both on standalone and steam version. Same problems.

im too dumb to installing and running min-ed launcher, github always confuses the heck outta me
I hear you but in this case it is as straightforward as possible.

1. Download the windows zip from https://github.com/Rfvgyhn/min-ed-launcher/releases and extract - steps 1 and 2 from https://github.com/rfvgyhn/min-ed-launcher
2. Drop a single file from that zip into your local elite launcher directory - step 3 from https://github.com/rfvgyhn/min-ed-launcher
3. Update Steam to use the min-ed launcher - step 4 from https://github.com/rfvgyhn/min-ed-launcher

Just did this myself in about two minutes. Thanks to previous posters for this solution.

ETA: I'm running Windows/Steam/Odyssey

Orange Sidewinder since the Update !!
Since only some people seem to be experiencing this, I'm wondering if it could perhaps be caused by some sort of file corruption. Just to rule it out, in the launcher try clicking on "manage" and "validate files". It's unlikely to fix the problem, but doesn't hurt to try.

This was done through steam and the same issue occurs, the Play button after the launcher comes up will grey out, and then revert back to the lit up Play button

same here , lauching from stand alone. even tried unsintaling the game. when I try to reinstal I receive a message "INCORRECT MANIFEST CHECKSUM" .
and I cannot even reinstall the game.
please help!

verifying files brings "invalid manifest checksum". And then that is that. No reinstalling Odyssey. No reinstalling launcher.

This is fixed by going to Windows's "internet options" (search for that in the taskbar's search box), and then clicking on "delete...", and then "delete" (the default choices ought to surffice). Then try validating files / updating in the launcher again.

no, have seen one or two people who's issue was fixed by it, but many more who are still having issues, including me. Based off the logs and what the guy from support told me, I think its powerplay/bgs related, perhaps its related to their patch to the stutter bug or something related to it.

tried that in reference of older posts describing the same behavior from the launcher both clicking play or validating file
Didn't work for me

Strange. Whenever I have got the infamous "incorrect manifest checksum" error, deleting temporary files in that manner has always helped.

Make sure to delete those temporary files as described, then click on "validate files" in the launcher, and wait for it to finish (it can take quite some time after the "100%" status). Are you still getting the checksum error?

That did not fix anything for me. I am having the same issue on two separate machines, and both with the Frontier only launcher and with the Steam one...

Just to make sure: By "same issue" you are talking about getting an "invalid manifest checksum" error when you try to update or validate files? And this even after having deleted temporary files?

Yes. I have also tried uninstalling the game completely, including the launcher on one of the PCs. Getting the same invalid manifest checksum error when trying to reinstall the game from the launcher

Its a new occurrence - I was playing all afternoon until I relogged (couldn't see the new stations in the CG system), and suddenly couldn't log back in. I restarted, still no joy. So this started... around 4pm, 5pm or thereabouts.

There's a separate thread on this topic.

It's happening to me too, and I can't log in or install via Steam or Frontier. Something's messed up with Frontier.
