material award not paid

i got 3 station missions to deliver / retrieve items for a station mission provider (level 0). all of them offered a material award besides money and reputation.
i did not ask for increase or add up as that usually removes the material award.
after turning in missions they did not provide the material award.
this happened several times in different stations.

ofc, the material award was hence a material i did not have (e.g. suit schematics). though no cargo space needed, and it was empty (64) anyway.
and as i said: the material award was not even displayed. if it needs cargo and there is no room it is greyed out.

Did you have the personal inventory space for goods? There was a bug a long time ago where materials rewards would vanish on completion.

??? as i said the material award was not even displayed to select. and ofc there is space as i selected material awards i did not have. later i returned from other missions and the material reward was there. as i mentioned before: this are missions from agents IN the lobby!

Ody materials are limited to 1000 each in the category of goods, data and components. Not having an Ody material doesn't mean you have the space for it. it's not like ship materials where you can have up to 300 of each.

If you do not have space to accept the material, then it will not display iirc. Check your storage.

that doesn't explain why the material option is offered when i accept the mission and then
when i come to turn in the mission the material award is not even displayed. I don't see what that has to do with space in the ship, Furthermore why should a material be offered where there is no space, to be exact: a material i do not have yet, that's why i selected the mission to get this material.

i have 0 of the respective material i wanted to get doing that mission. and i am far away of the 1000, just started lately to do such missions. but thx for pointing that out. have to keep it in mind though.
and btw. later i did some missions and got the material whcih was offered, so it couldn't have been this hard limit.

It is a total of a thousand of all types of material. When accepting the mission with the reward, it does not matter that you do not have the space, only when you hand the mission in. If you find that you do not have space, you can do something about it, like sell or trade mats to make space. Do not think of it as "space on the ship", just that there is an overall (game) limit of how many mats in total you may have.

As to why you were able to get the material reward later, I have no idea.

Dear Steve: again as i said be before: NONE of the containers contain nearly 1000 at best 30. Furthermore again: the material reward was NOT displayed at all when turning in the mission. I only select missions with material awards i want and do not ask for improved or more pay as this usually removes the material reward offer. so the mission HAD a material reward when i accepted it. When i turned in the mission there was NO material award available. Instead twice the money reward (same) and the reputation award. I do not see why the material containers, which all of them were even below 100, would have an influence of NOT SHOWING the material award. That is the issue.
the topic name i choose was bad. i wish i could change it to: material reward no longer displayed when turning in mission.. or something like that.

I have had a couple of missions where the mat reward either vanished or the offered mat changed after the mission was accepted.
The only advice I can offer is to check the offer in the transactions tab once you accept it.

sounds like may case, too. ok will check the transaction tab and if the material is gone, will abandon, even that means losing rep.

I think i narrowed this issue down:
happened again. the material reward was visible to the trans log. But: When i turned the mission in it was gone!
What happened? when i turned the mission in my status changed from friendly to ally.
and then i checked the trans log of another mission for the same faction not completed yet. the material mission was gone, too. so i abandoned that mission. another mission from another faction still had the material.
Sounds like a bug. WDYT?

Possibly time to search the issue tracker to find the best supported report on this and add conformation or vote for it, if that search fails only then generate a report yourself.

When it happened to me I noticed it at the point I completed the objective, it felt like the thing where the computer loses track of your carrier when you jump to supercruise.
