One listing, and no way to tell which you get, but last I checked, the game invisibly kept them separate. Inara used to show you each batch on your FC with its price, now it combines them too.

Something went terribly wrong: I finished in the top 25%. The waves of fleet carriers didn't pound me into the dust, as predicted. :)

you didn't need a fleet carrier for this. I have one but didn't use it. I mined in plat hotspots partly in Delkar and partly in GCRV 1568 (once I engaged brain and thought to combine ranking up with LYR at same time) and it took probably under 6 hrs to secure top 25%. also top 50% would have been easier still and you only needed too 75% for the toys.

now the new panther clipper in a trade CG otoh.......... ;)

I'm intrigued about the new functionality it comes with...my guess is it can't dock at a station and you have to shuttle goods back and forth.

These new abrasion blasters look like they might be viable for combat. Shot speed and damage fall off are amazing, with 20 dps in a class 1 slot.
Fitted both to a Cmk5 and stripped the shields from a dangerous Fed Gunship...wasn't the fastest to drop the shields.
Wondering if they would compliment a pacifier frag build if you have spare class 1 slots.
Thoughts?

interesting. I never even considered them for combat. how much ammo do they have?

I would love a bulk hauler that gave the npcs something to do buzzing around our colonisation construction sites. possibly allow them to land on low gravity large settlements as well. massive capacity to help with colonisation without pulling rug from T9 haulers.

however from everything we have seen so far my belief is they will be able to dock just fine.
I got myself confused initially. I thought in older games they could not dock but I was confusing with the lynx bulk carrier

Unlimited, they're like a funny kind of pulse/burst laser.
The shot speed of a normal abrasion blaster is something like 650m/s, which is not ideal...but the new one is somewhere in the region of 3300 m/s, so hitting a target is 200x easier.
A long range abrasion blaster is overkill for mining as you'd really only use it at close range, closer on a rotating asteroid.
IMO the only reason to add long range and increase shot speed would be for it to be used in combat.

You do if you're going to mine tens of thousands of tons and then turn it in on the last day to flip victory to the other side. That's what people were speculating about, and it's a common thing for people to suggest, but I don't think it'll ever happen. Just one of those perpetual myths.
I guess it's a technical possibility but I think the CG would still need to be on close to a knife edge to do it (after all you still need to load and unload the carrier).
but I can't imagine it would have happened practically in a CG like the last one which was massively one sided.

The only CG type I've seen where last minute carrier deliveries were even detectable on the progress chart were 'rares'/'salvage' ones (where the capacity of a carrier is a much greater fraction of total tonnage, and carrier loading is potentially a much more efficient means of collection). Even then it wasn't a significant proportion of the whole.

Anyone else got two abrasion blasters even though not being in the top 75%? Is this a mistake?
Are you sure you weren't in the top 75%? I only turned in one Python full of platinum on one of my accounts and made top 75% so it isn't exactly hard. Then again I guess 25% of people manage not to be somehow.....
Now that I come to think of it, they were top 75% when I last checked, but they might not have been by the end, I didn't really look. They got both blasters though so maybe I benefitted from the same glitch. I'm not going to complain.
