Question about current CG and my contributions to the goal

Hello Commanders,
So, I have not really participated in the CGs much until recently just been doing whatever I wanted to start trying more of the content in the game and I find a lot of it fun, and I am right now in the top 25% of contributions which I thought wow I can believe it. So, I went on to Inara and I was looking at the data and I was wondering how the top 10 Commanders are moving so much cargo in such a short amount of time I am really interested as I have always wanted to improve in this game. I am just shocked to be in the top 25% and seem to have moved so little compared to the top 10 and how much they have moved so far.

The use of two accounts (or a very supportive friend/squad) pushing into a Fleet Carrier parked in system. The end player just has to pull goods from market and make the trip to the drop-off. It is not something a single player can match via any normal optimisation (supply route, fastest possible manual docking, cargo capacity.)

These numbers are easy for some. Solo play and without FC usually. As using a FC is only faster at large distances

Agreed. 100 kt of delivery is probably a tad over 20 hours of gameplay, depending on the distance of the source station. That's the kind of thing any sufficiently obsessive dedicated player could do in 3 days.

The actual top 10 numbers are even higher ; )
The very top of the top 10 will likely be higher, yes.
However, my understanding is that the general threshold for the top 10 is something Inara will get roughly right, because the player journals will contain the information about what band the player is in (e.g. top 25%, top 10 CMDRs, etc.). NB: I've never actually been in the top 10 to confirm this definitively ;)
(Since Inara has a range of contributions for the top 10 rather than just a single value, I'm inferring that at least two of the top 10 players are contributing info to Inara, but I may be misguided.)

That sounds right for Inara. Don't let the bottom top 10 number scare you if you want to try for it, I've hit it well before what it shows there.

For real advice, increase your jump range. Build out your ship lightweight and with a FSD booster, you can always swap it for a cargo rack when you don't need it. You can better choose systems with high supply, reduce jumps, and find a station that's close to the star. Not only that, but when a station moves behind a star or doesn't line up well in general, you can just find a new one. If you're going to do runs for hours, you want them to be simple and easy.

Outside of in-game advice, find a movie or series you want to catch up on. Supercruise assist and autodock can help in a long session while you binge.

I would have supported Kaine, but I wanted the double distributors; the ships I regularly use tend to have similar parts. It was too late to for me to change by the time the bonuses were announced for both sides, but it does seem to be a theme going forward. That CG was profitable enough that my fleet carrier is set for years of weekly upkeep, all of that recent colonization set up a real groove.
