"Development Level >>"? Figuring out what all these numbers do.

So ports form strong links with each other if they are in the same orbit right?

Does this apply to all ports, or just the intrinsic economy ones, or just the colony ones, or both?

Asking because there's this ELW with two orbital slots, and to claim the system, the first station would go right on one of the two slots.

We figure a Tier 3 for it would be best since it's an ELW, but we don't want to start the claim with a Tier 3 and it'd be best to start with an outpost so then the Tier 3 has no time limit.

The outpost + tier 3 on the ELW, will they form a strong link with each other? Does it matter if we make it a 'colony' outpost or one of the other intrinsic economy options?
They will form a strong link regardless of what type of outpost it is. It doesn't really matter with ELWs, the T3 will already have such a mix of economies that the strong link from the outpost won't make much difference.

Assuming the outpost is a colony one that just takes in the economies of the ELW, then the strong link will just be the multiple economies too? I figured we wanted the system to be an Agri one and just wondering if the strong link from the other port will mess it up and make it harder. Since all the agri links would be weak links

The T3 will get four different economies from the ELW. A colony in the same orbit will get the same four economies and then pass all of them to the T3 as strong links. So it just makes all of them stronger, it doesn't really have any substantial effect with regards to the proportions.

Okay, that makes sense now. Thank you for the quick answers!

Funny thing about that... we were told station interiors would depend solely on the dominant economy. My tourist station got the "wealthy" interior, not the tourism interior:

The system is not what I would call wealthy. It doesn't have any surface construction sites which makes it very handicapped.
So how do we get this interior?

So I piaced down an outpost hub yesterday and noticed that the UI was saying it would get a bunch of weak links. That seems wrong since facilities aren't meant to get them - but is it actually going to develop economy influence the same as colony ports, e.g. be overridden by the planet?
Interesting. Does anybody have any info for what, if any, influence the Outpost Hub gives to a port/orbital on/around the same planet? I wonder if this would be a planetary influence amplifier much in the way a T1 colony port gives strong links of each planetary economy to the orbiting port (coriolis, in my system).

The Outpost Hub should not have any economy influence, as far as I recall.

Not right now but as stated it’s not listed as having one in that spreadsheet. I’ve looked at it in-game for surface constructions myself and it at least prior to 3.3 did not list any economy influence. Nor should it receive any since it’s not a port.
I have just checked what it says when selecting an Outpost Hub for construction. On a moon that I have a refinery and a coriolis orbiting, nothing, as many have pointed out. BUT, when I looked at putting one down on the moon my HT Orbital Outpost is orbiting, I get what @Ned Flandalorian was experiencing. I believe we don't know the full scope of what the Outpost Hub affects.

Coke Platform is my HT orbital outpost.
Zambo Biological is a HT ground facility.

I am tempted to put it here just to see what happens, although I will have to build a space farm first.

I have plans to put outpost hubs (at least one) into some HT only systems but my energy for hauling is currently somewhat low, so I might not be able to get any tries in for myself yet.

Plus, let's not discount the possibility of a bug. Either on the UI level or for the actual structure.

Before the update I took notes of all my commodity markets to see what might change. Once the HT orbital outpost comes back online, I'll see if it has anything different. This isn't a perfect comparison though, because I have to add a space farm which will give the orbital an additional ag weak link.

Edit: All the other hubs do something. I just can't believe this outpost hub has no value other than unlocking something else.

Hello!
With update 3.3 FD again changed the rules of the game! There are no longer the double strengthening from the planetary influence on the same economy!
Examples:
1) Ice world with an abundance of resources + geology:- before the update: production = 1.8, industry = 2.8- after update: production = 1.8, industry = 1.4
2) Metal world with an abundance of resources + geology:- before the update: production = 3.6, industry = 1.4- after update: production = 1.8, industry = 1.4
Between the ice and metal worlds with geology in general, neither steel nor any differences!Worlds with rings must also be checked!

So i was trying to build a Brewery with a friend. Coriolis around a HMC with biologicals. First T2 agri settlement we additionaly built gave 160%. Second settlement gave 80% topping at 500%.

Is this a cap? Or are the 80% addition a bug in regards to strong links bonuses?

Another interesting thing: Beer demand increased when building those. Not sure how this is supposed to work, but agri is supposed to produce Beer, not consume it. I have - while desktop researching via Inara - so far mostly found Beer to come from stations around Water Worlds. So it seems - from my point of view - that certain planetary types have an impact on the supply/demand multipliers.
