Planet Zoo | Asia Animal Pack | Announcement

Love the Blackbuck. And I am very happy about the Lion Tailed Macaque. And I have always wanted a Pere Davids Deer. Excited to use them in my zoos. But I agree with others, the building pieces are underwhelming. I did watch Iben's video and he does creatively make good use of some of the pieces, but overall it is still lacking. I just think there is so much more they could give us for backstage and off show building pieces. But from an animal perspective, a very good pack!

Now that I've seen the tanukis in motion and in more detail I'm even more enamored than ever. I'm so thankful they can climb, and so thankful we got a white color morph (seems like a no brainer, but I would have thought the same about melanistic coyotes, so...)

I can't express my appreciation for this animal enough.

After watching some preview videos i must say that the scenery unfortunately is a little underwhelming (again).
I dont think its a complete desaster like with americas, so there is that atleast.
You guys did so well in the past with balancing heavy themed stuff and more generic, versatile pieces in the packs, and i think thats a little lost in this new pack format of 7 habitat animals + pieces, especially this last two

After watching a lot of the videos I can say, the Animals r so freaking good- all of them, their models is so spot on! My personal fav r: Tanuki, Lion-Tailed Macaque, Honey Badger, Nilgai and the Blackbuck. I also rlly love the Père David's Deer, and tbh I also rlly like Bornean Elephant, It's still unnecessary but the model is freaking gorgeous and the baby is so adorable, prob my fav baby in the DLC.

Now the pieces, rlly annoying me- cuz why r we still getting those huge, colorful and useless items. Like when r we going to get good scenery cuz It's getting worse w every DLC like the Zookeeper Animal Pack had some bad pieces but it also had useful pieces then the America Animal Pack that has few good pieces and now the Asia Animal Pack that is pretty useless when it comes to scenery- I'm very upset that we got those useless panels or those ugly benches over King Cobra or exhibits in general that I very much prefer over getting blind by looking at those scenery... still I do like the banana leaves and the bells idk how much I'm going to use them but they r defo more useful than the other pieces. I rlly hope if we getting another DLC w Scenery that it would actually be good, like smth good like a whole new set of rocks or a lot of brances and trees and foliage in general, like It's so disappointing cuz the Animals r so good and the scenery rlly letting the dlc down, like much more than the inclusion of the Elephant.

And the free update is rlly nice and cute, rlly nice to get one! Even tho it doesn't have much in it or it doesn't have anything too exciting in it, the Butterfly is such a nice addition it wasn't needed but It's for free and the model is gorgeous and the 2 pieces of plants- r more useful than the whole scenery in the Asia Animal Pack lol

Overall the Animals r rlly what doing it for me in the Pack but I rlly hope that if it's not the last dlc to see a HUGE improvement in the pieces cuz It's just letting the DLC down... still excited to play w those incredible Animals!

What bothers me about the scenery is that, being a general Asia pack, it could very well add pieces to integrate with our existing Asian themes (India, East Asia, Indonesia)... A new elephant statue in the same style as the Indonesian ones, new Tanuki sculptures similar to the ones we have for the japanese macaque, heck even one of those goofy Conservation Pack type statues for the deer... And don't get me started on India.

Wait, i somehow missed the new LED set. Okay i take everything back those are incredible. Get the animals out of the way i need those

Here's my ranking of the new animals now that we've gotten a better look at them;

Honey badger: The only animal in this pack that was on my wishlist unsurprisingly ended up my favorite of this pack. It looks fantastic, I love its little trot... no notes. 5/5.

Lion-tailed macaque: This one wasn't on my wishlist, but the more I look at it, the more I like it, to the point where I'm surprised it wasn't really on my radar! I feel like it'll genuinely be one of my favorites to use whenever I get my hands on this pack, same as the Hamadryas. 5/5.

Japanese raccoon dog: I'm of the opinion that we really, really don't need anymore dogs after the Americas pack, but... this one is acceptable, I guess. It's cute and distinct. Not personally super exciting to me, but if we had to get another dog, sure. But, really, no more, Frontier. Please. 3/5.

Blackbuck
: I didn't really get the hype for this one, but don't mind its inclusion at all. As far as antelope go, it's unique-looking. Meh. 3/5.

Nilgai
: Uh... see above. Neat antelope. Wasn't hyped for it. Not upset by it. That's it... 3/5.

Pere David's Deer: I understand that this species is significant culturally and for its conservation story, but… I’m sorry, guys, that is all is has going for it. I’m already not a fan of deer, and this one is so plain… that being said, though, I don’t hate it, and I’m glad for everyone who did want it. So… 2/5.

Bornean pygmy elephant: 1/5.

Malabar rose butterfly
: Heck yeah, a new butterfly! And a very nice-looking one, too! More varieties in our butterfly houses is certainly a good thing, and I’d honestly love to see more in future updates. Madagascan sunset moth next? 4/5.

Leaf and Iben said you cannot. They’re not lights, they just glow. Diminished that piece a lot imo given it would’ve made great fencing/facade.
Eh, so be it. It would only really be a problem if you use it at night, so it's not a big deal breaker unless you're adamant on using it at night for whatever reason

Surprised they didn't make it where it can be turned off, though. That should definitely be a feature

Wait no? That's not what I said at all, I said the opposite 😅
Nevermind, you were referring to the bamboo pieces, I was confused because of the fence being mentioned.

But to set the record straight, these LED pieces can be turned off, the lantern pieces however at this point in time cannot be turned off.

So, can the bamboo turn off or not?😅

Edit: nevermind, I didn't realize you had multiple pics🤦🏼‍♂️
