Similar elephant with better textures, I call that a win
But worst colours. I call that a loose.
Yeah no... The indian elephant still looks fantastic and seeing them side by side i still prefer it over this new one. Just a bit of better textures on the bornean elephant but nothing extraordinary that justify it's inclusion.
Very interesting video! I hadn't noticed the amount of small differences between the two, nice comparison... This only contributed to cement my love for the new elephant.
Again, I never asked for it, but it was a really nice surprise
or mix them, best of both. That's what I'm planning just now, got a fantastic elephant area coming up.
Would be nice if the 2 subspecies got interspecies enrichment
I appreciate the fact that every single animal has at least one new enrichment item compared to similar animals that are already in-game... Even the elephant has the musical keyboard.
Also, I really appreciate the Nilgai getting the mud bath as well

My one nitpick with the elephant is that the baby could have used some fuzz or fur on the head and the body, that little detail would have made it even cuter
Interbreeding. Especially for something like the bornean elephant that would be devastating
Call me crazy but I prefer the Indian Elephant model. The Bornean elephant looks good too though. I'm definitely going to mix them to have a more diverse herd.
Is the tanuki supposed to have only the temperate biome tag? I feel like it should also have the taiga tag, and obviously remove the mainland raccoon god's range from its map cuz ya know wrong species
If you don't play Planet Zoo to recreate memes why would you even have the game?

I love it and I prefer its colours. Great texture but missing hair and fuzz. Size is good. The tail goes right down to the floor, as it should do, and the juvenile is so damn cute. I wish it were fluffy.

that and the raccoon dog have me so pumped.Asian elephant subspecies are so heavily debated that it isn't really worth keeping them segregated at the subspecies levels. I've heard that many zoos keep multiple subspecies together anyways, so it's not even an unrealistic approach.
And it's not like hybrids are a thing in PZ anyways (at least, they didn't make it to the finished game)
Having seen all animals and items in some creator videos, I think the animals look much better than they even appeared in the previews. I'm on the side that thinks the Bornean elephant is definitely more detailed than the Indian elephant we had in the game.
The items so far aren't that special to me, but looking what Iben did with it in his video, I'm convinced that my opinion may shift. At this point I'm most excited about the banana leaves, which is something I always wanted in the game.

Yeah but if you want to make the argument of this game pushing a conservation message you cant do stuff like that or otherwise you loose all credibilty.
Which is also why frontier would turn themselves into laughing stock if they ever added hybrids
I honestly could buy the Interbreeding argument if Frontier didn't made the ruffed lemurs have a bonus
