All we have heard is that “Hengist Duval is sick”. More on 22 November.

So this was mentioned in the last newsletter, and more on the 22nd Nov.
Well I watched the live stream, didn't say much more other than there will be those trying to take over from him.

How do you think this will effect us as players, or the galaxy we play in.
Will we have a part to play, or is this just another news message we will see on the station boards.

So do you think that in order to join in the war game we will need to choose a faction to fight on eventually, will players ever be allowed to form a group and create their own faction.

I feel it is events like this that need to be exploited to make players more a part of the game, and to have a connection to it.

I don't think players will be allowed to form their own factions and I don't think it's necessary.

However I certainly hope faction standings carry over to player standings, so if I meet a fed supporter whilst having a high rank in the Empire, I'm allowed to shoot him without repercussions. Unfortunately, the DDA thread on standings only mentions NPCs and the question if this is even planned to be implemented has not been answered yet, as far as I'm aware.

As for the original question: I hope he dies, his playboy son Harold takes over and starts a war (he's a gambler, after all).

An not just sub fractions of the empire, I'm sure the Federation won't miss this chance to take advantage of events happening in the empire, chaos breeds opportunities.

Well David didn't elaborate much apart from the Roman bit, so did he mean Sick as in Caligula sick (That would make it fun!) or did he mean Julius Caesar because he wasn't sick he was stabbed?

First, if you didn't bother to send him a get well card, why do expect to hear anything at all?
