Collecting raws

So the quality of life improvements regarding gathering materials works well with the High Grade Emissions. But now limpets can't collect raws. Was this done intentionally or will there be a fix coming?

Likely intentionally. In the meantime, you can collect raw materials at Orrere 2B at the Crashed Anaonda, and use a raw materials trader to get what you want.

Thank you, I know all the alternatives. Just hoping FDEV can give a reply before I invest much more into the game. There were great life improvements in the game last year, that brought me back in the game. Hate to resort to grinding for days when it should only take a few hours.

If you like blowing up shi-- (notices rootrats and other mods with frowns on their faces) SHIPS, I mean, definitely, yeah ( ;) ), then be adviced that pirate massacre missions often offer raw rewards. Ruthenium, Polonium, Selenium, Tellurium, Yttrium, Antimony, often 20 for one mission.

I haven't had to land on any planet in quite some time due to that, and I do use materials, synthesising ammo for frags ain't cheap...

They absolutely still can. Get far enough away, and keep the nose level.

I used to flak these poor trees.
Then, I gave a serious try to SRV method (collect the phloem exceptions for the GR), and it's actually not that bad once you get the gist of it.

Are pirate massacre missions actually working now? Like, they fixed them? For real??

They were broken for YEARS, so I wouldn't have blamed anyone for not picking these missions up despite whatever kind of reward they offered.

Were they ever broken? I've done many, many over the past ~5 years now. Bought my carrier with the money I made that way🙂

Yeah they used to not reliably generate mission targets. You'd go to the target system and find ships belonging to the specified faction but they'd only very rarely ever be considered an actual proper target (showing "target" on the HUD when you... target.. them), thus getting the requisite number of kills to complete the mission was sometimes impossible.

Well, I've never seen this, and I started playing in 2020. Guess it's been fixed for quite some time then🙂

SOMETIMES, it happens that no POIs are generated. That's why I usually choose systems with hazard zones to work over, 'cause if, for example, I am hired to curb-stomp some Pomeche pirates, it doesn't matter whether I find the fruitcakes in a POI or in a hazard zone. (Sometimes, I have no choice, because I'm being offered a lucrative mission (say, 20 units of Antimony plus cash), but the system does not have any resource areas where pirates might be found . . . that's why I usually have in interdictor installed, to fish out pirates of that faction).

Other than that, never have had the problem you describe, and I've been, ah, sanitizing pirates forever... ;)
