I just think it be a cool little detail to add, I always wonder when Im out exploring in deep space and find a system that's been mapped by someone and wonder what year it was when they discovered it.

One indication that will always be 100% correct is that when there is more than 1 star in a system and they have different name tsgs on them, it means the first discovery was 100% made before the exploration update. It's from the times before Full Spectrum Scanner existed at all and we've had 3 different Discovery Scanners, which were actual Optional modules (or were they Utilities?)
I know it's not much, but at least it's something and it's 100% accurate always.
