Well, many say that most resources were redirected from SC to SQ42 as Chris R. is determined to finally release it.Hi All
Having contributed to this games kickstarter way back when it was first announced I bought a (roughly) $60 'package'. I followed the games development for about a year...and then just gave up as it was obvious the game wasn't going to materialise in any useful form for quite a few years. I would assume I've still got an account with them, but I haven't been back to check, or indeed what package I've accrued over that time. In the first year or so I seem to remember being automatically 'awarded' some stuff on a semi regular basis for being one of the first backers. I was 'promised' the finished game, Squadron 42 which just recently it was announced somewhere that it would most likely be 'released' as a standalone game in 2026?
Could someone fill me in on whether this is perhaps a genuine statement, or is it just another hand wavium statement by Chris Roberts and his band of Comanchero's!...
I count myself lucky that at approximately the same time I also joined the kickstarter for Elite Dangerous....ye gods!...what a difference!.
So what's the predictions?...is a 2026 release forSquadron 42 a genuine possibility, or not?

Whether it's going to happen... your guess is as good as anyone else's.
Like Agony said, they were announcing SQ42 being 2 years away from release literally every 2 years since the very beginning so...
Maybe this time will be different
