That's a good point. Hm... I retract my statement. Maybe what I'm actually looking for is capital class ships for player combat. Fleet carriers as they are really are more like a station. Though i do like the idea of mass pvp warfare where an FC is the heart of the army, allowing players to respawn. And the goal is to destroy one sides FC. Thus ending respawnsNo.
The FC is essentially a station we don’t need to give players the ability to blow up stations.
Besides it is unfair, if you blow up someone’s ship they are there to do something about it* an FC is in all modes so you can pick one where the owner isn’t to attack risk free.
*Unless they are AFK in which case it is their fault.
I've said this in another thread but these ideas consistently have 0 benefit for carrier owners only downsides. If you want the concept to have a chance of being worth adding and not full of screaming it needs to be more than a way to grief carrier owners. They also need some benefits not just the attackers getting the gameplay they want but the carrier owners also getting some serious perks to make up for new obnoxiousness.Attackable does not necessarily mean destroyable. Doing a Titanbomb heat-vent attack and forcing it to jump elsewhere is an option. Players online could be given a warning and then telepresence into fighters for defense, players offline... is tricksy.

I actually had an interesting idea about this, a way for it to be used in combat but not "destroyable". the carrier owner is able to call it in with a "tactical jump" and it acts much like the federation and empire capships, where once they "die" they jump away. In this case the FC jumps back to it's spot, with some damage that needs to be repaired. But even if you (the owner) use it till every system is disabled (which would require multiple times of being damaged to a jump out.), while you would have a long repair bill of materials and time on your part. The carrier never actually is destroyed.No.
