Help. I got my ship impounded and don't have enough credits.

I know physical MC is iffy at best, but can you even dock at a prison ship and pick somebody up? I've never had to do that.
I have done precisely that, very early on in Odyssey, It was awesome! But I was more going for - APEX to another station, if enough cash for that. Then earn some more cash until they can pay their "impound fees"/fines.
I was more preparing for the worst case of "can't afford a taxi".
Speaking of which: How much of an impound fee are we talking about?
do you get your impounded ship back with that?

what is the name of the station and planet system
you can earn credits on foot by getting an uber shutttle to deliver messages etc via a terminal by doing delivery missions
well if playing odyssey you can
you could also clear save(main menu)
an start from the begining with a new ship again untill you become less noobish
never buy a new ship without 3 x its rebuy cost in credits..........
(you have been warned!)

I'm not sure, I've not been in a situation where I had fees/fines/etc that I could not pay in years, probably pre-Odyssey...
Same. Whining on the forums and watching videos of competing games until support makes the game playable again. In 25 years of gaming I've never had to wait for support to unstuck a character.
That's terrible advice. "You made a mistake! Why don't you start over?".
Don't do that unless every other way to get out of the situation is ruled out.

Anyway, you must not have played many games in those 25 years. Lots of games offer the possibility to softlock yourself. The complication in multiplayer games is you cannot load an older save. But there are probably ways out of it if OP gives a bit more info on their situation.

No sockpuppet I swear. If he's in the same situation as me his active ship is in impound, he doesn't have the credits to pay the fine and there's cargo in the ship so ED won't let you change active ships.
Ive lost items and had to wait for support to recover them. But an edge case that's unrecoverable in game? Not in 25 years. It's poor design plain and simple.

Okay. This may have been before Frontier added the stuck recovery. IIRC, if you were stuck on foot before for some reason, logging into Horizons helped. The stuck recovery option made this obsolete.
