Mamba - most useless ship as of 3311

I don't think that anyone even considers Scout for anything, while Mamba a straight line racer posing as a combat ship, pretty quirky as well. If only "racing" would bring rewards provided from such playstyle, but it does not. To be honest the last quirky ship ever released.
The DB Scout and Asp Scout should have been the kings of jump range. They are lighter and less armed and they would have better served the scout role.

I love how people complains about ships in this game like each one needs to have a in-game purpose. We need to stop thinking like this and think like its a real world. There are 6 companies making ships and they want your credits. I often wonder if Frontier uses the amounts of each ship being sold to give designers a "budget" for the next ship. Hell if they had the man power I would make 6 teams who's purpose is to design new ships for each company and have them compete for the next budget. I view the ships like I do cars in the real world. Do I want the good looking one or want something more practical or do I want the classic roadster.

Just because the F150 was made didn't stop Chevy from making a pickup truck or Toyota. Why do some people buy a Honda Accord and some buy a Toyota Camry? So why does we treat Elite differently, cause its a game?

Yup! These new DS frags are somewhat designed for the Mamba (for the C4 I'd put a corrosive MC), or the Chieftain. Using the C3 only I'd go for the Vulture instead.
I'm finding the frags often eliminate NPCs in current CG (low Aiaba, or hazardous Lekan Yu) with a single volley and any that survive can be quickly finished off. The Pacifier has a higher shot speed and the frags run out of ammo first so easy to keep corrosive effect active. I did try a huge multicannon but it didn't feel like an improvement at least at my skill level or lack thereof

There's no way I'd classify the Mamba as the 'most useless ship' at this time

The Mamba was and still is brilliant, a medium ship with a top speed able to outrun most Thargoids, it was my scout ship for Titans having plenty of Utility slots to take everything needed to survive in there.
Its still on my Carrier ready for the next invasion.

You don't go to war in a Ferrari, nor does it do too well when your family grows. But it could have picked up Mommy to get one started ;) If you set it up for a race against a Lambo (Clipper), it's anyone's guess how each is tuned under the hood.
Hehmm, I rather always figured Zorgon Peterson as the Lamborghini of Elite; Our tractor, and transport van manufacturer, who on spite also makes sexy deathtrap sportscars with brute-force oversized engines. :p

The Mamba will be great once we can land of water worlds since it's a speedboat.

More like this, the Fiat/OSI Bisiluro "Silver Fox" 1200s from the 60s :D
