Am the oldest person to achieve Triple Elite

I have just gained Elite combat today to add to my Elite V trading and Elite Explorer.
I will be 79 in October and just wondered if anyone older than me has achieved Triple Elite
I was also one of the first to achieve Elite on the original BBC Micro version of Elite.
Not sure what to do next but might try to leave my mark on a system as I have a Fleet carrier
and have just got a Panther Clipper.

Salutations and congratulations. Apparently there's quite a few really old farts around, making me in my 50s feel like a toddler. On average the demographic of Elite seems quite a bit older than the average gaming community, probably courtesy of the rich history of the franchise.

I made my triple elite before turning fifty, just about.

Congrats! I'm about 12 years younger and, thanks to my youthful vigor (ha!), finally hit triple Elite 3 years ago. Combat was the stubborn hold out and I'm still only halfway to earning 1 star Elite in that. I don't know how people manage to play this game if they aren't retired....
