Bought it, A-rated everything, engineered grade 5, and flew it to a neighboring system. Not bad. Not bad at all....

(game/system acting erratically, so I'll wait until tomorrow or the day after for things to calm down some)

I WANT to. Oh how I want to. But I have to stock up on Arx and for whatever reason my Bank and Frontier don't seem to be on speaking terms. Support ticket already out.
 
Bought it, but can't fly it because of being far from the bubble :D
But that doesn't matter. FDev deserves the money for the reason of having changed course over the last 18 months and giving ED and us players a bit loving care (could always be a bit more but I am happy :p)
 
I swore i wasn't going to buy anything other than paintjobs with ARX.. but I did. And I'll tell you why.
I bought the Panther Clipper Stellar because of its instant spawn capability.

I can fly my 70Ly souped up hauler to Colonia, instantly spawn my 1000T+ cargo, completely A Grade Panther.
Do whatever missions need to be done.

Despawn the Panther Clipper back into my pocket and fly home.

It's like the instant ramen of spaceships: Just add water.

Or how about this.... I need to ship materials 300 Ly to a destination port.

Fly to source port in my Stellar A grade Mandalay, despawn it... Spawn my Clipper... Fly to destination with 1000T+ of goodies...
drop them off... despawn my Clipper... Respawn my Mandalay.. 4 jumps back to the source.

Absolutely UNRIVALLED and completely endorsed play style.

--edit; on reflection, I decided to remove the bit about P2W and RIP poor people in CGs.

I have bought all the early access ships and engineered them and somehow I have never used (or more accurately never dared) the de-spawn function for fear of the engineering being affected.

Am I wrong and the engineering will stay with the new respawn ship?

What do you mean by "de-spawn function"? Do you mean auto destruct?

If your ship gets destroyed then on rebuy it will be identical. (So yes, all modules and all engineering is retained.)

If you can't rebuy because of lack of credits then AFAIK you will irrecoverably lose the ship and everything that was in that ship. Likewise if you sell the ship. However, if the ship was a prebuilt one bought with ARX you can then respawn the original ship as you got it from the store, at no cost. (So yes, as far as I know, in this situation you lose any engineering and any replaced or additional modules you had installed. You better have credits for the rebuy.)

Does the steller come with a pre-engineered 7A FSD-SCO or just the basic non-engineered 7E version? I ask because my FC is currently in the black 30K LY from Sol and I don't have a size 7 FSD stored module or any other large ship other than a Type 9 that uses a size 6.

I'm still not sure what you mean by "respawn" in this case. Do you mean using self-destruct the pre-built ship and then deploy it somewhere once again?

I must admit I don't know about that, as I have never done it myself. I always just rebuy if my ship gets destroyed. (If you rebuy after the ship gets destroyed, then it will be completely identical.)

It comes with a 7A SCO - unengineered.
In fact, the Stellar is fully A Rated.

If you have the appropriate engineers unlocked and the right upgades pinned, you can at least engineer the FSD for max range.
Then pay a visit to Ms Felicity and add the Mass Manager and you are set.

Powerplay update was good
colonization update was good

Spending abit of money on the game is good to keep the show on the road

We need more updates like these and the game will keep going.
