But that not the game being cartoony and just the games physics engine having a hiccupAh yes as when animals die they sometimes just fling across the map or just ragdoll under the map

Maybe they’re saving them for PZ2? Idk I think Zookeepers was supposed to be the real ending and barnyard was a petting zoo special case so even the Baboon is one last bone of the meta wishlist thrown to usWhat's a bit interesting with the Secretary Bird is that it's one of six animals that have been very popularly requested that haven't made it in to the game. The thing is, these six and the Hamadryas Baboon started to set themselves apart from the rest of the list after the Tasmanian Devil made it in. Frontier up to that point was following the metalist fairly decently, and since then the picks have been a lot lower tiered on the list. Granted, I know there were a lot of changes after Eurasia, staffing became different, endgame of PZ shifted (most likely).
It's just surprising to me that in these last three packs, we haven't received either any of:
Secretary Bird
Walrus
Muskox
Howler Monkey
Coati
Tree Kangaroo
add to the popular but non specific Duck and Pelicans and the exhibit Cobra and Chameleon, these 10 animals have been heavily requested for a long while now, and yet none have made it in - again, from the upper tier of metalists, the Hamadryas Baboon is the only animal that was ranking so highly here.
Wouldn't it be amazing if the final pack was these 10 animals, and the ABB was the anniversary animal. Not going to happen - but if there's another pack coming, surely surely we'll get one more extremely popular animal - although the last two packs have not given us that, so it is a bit worrying.
Yeah that's more likely, as I do feel like Zookeepers was going to be the original end of the game. It would explain why we're not getting more intricate and popular animals at this point. At the same time they could have thrown us a bone and included the Howler instead of of the Saki - not that I'm complaining we got the Saki, it was definitely just a more offbeat pick. Ah, what's done is done though. And PZ may well be done.Maybe they’re saving them for PZ2? I feel like the pelican belong in that list as well. Yeah, the Pelicans and the Ducks are also very popularly requested, they just have so many options it's kept them off the upper parts of the lists."I feel like the pelican belong in that list as well. It has been asked for ages.
Yeah maybe the mallard and the mandarin duck in particular have been always requested but ducks got a rise in demand just after the swan and the barnyard animal pack. Before that it was about specific species.Yeah, the Pelicans and the Ducks are also very popularly requested, they just have so many options it's kept them off the upper parts of the lists."
kind of like another undecided New World Monkey was for a while, until the forum seemed to mostly agree on a Howler Monkey.
Pelicans and Ducks would be very unique shaped animals that could open up a lot of modding possibilities. I realize there's mods for them now, just saying one official Frontier species would help out a lot.
No two ducks quack the same. So IMO it wouldn't open up any more possibilities than the swan did. They can already make convincing-looking ducks that sound like the wrong species.could open up a lot of modding possibilities.
I guess that depends on the duck species we get. Mallard, sure, is a filler for ponds mostly. But white faced whisling duck or fulveous ducks would fit perfectly in tropical houses or mixed wetlands exhibits or aviaries. Muscovys or pekin would be good for farm or domestic areas. Mandarin i imagine being used for ponds in asian gardens.Anyway if we're forced to have a duck, I want the common mallard. The only use a duck would have is to fill in "wild" spaces.
My pearls are clutched! CLUTCHED I SAY!The only use a duck would have is to fill in "wild" spaces.
Maybe not even necessarily on the July live, but on the August one. If nothing happens at the September live, then we can consider it the end of PZ1.Maybe, probably even. But i think we will know for sure this unlocked stream
Using the new stream system the latest they have confirmed a new dlc is in the works is 2 streams after a dlc release and usually its the first stream after unless that stream is close to the dlc release then its the second. If we here nothing next week than its all but guaranteed that there is no more dlc.Maybe not even necessarily on the July live, but on the August one. Yeah, that's what I think too. They realize that we realize things are winding/have winded down. They're needing to reassure us that something more is coming soon after the Barnyard, ZooKeepers and Americas pack. Asia pack came out the same day as the livestream, so I understand not trying to steal its spotlight on release day. But if nothing is mentioned for the end of July stream, I'd 99% consider it done and will go about finding my mods.Using the new stream system the latest they have confirmed a new dlc is in the works is 2 streams after a dlc release and usually its the first stream after unless that stream is close to the dlc release then its the second. I mean this had to happen eventually, Frontier can’t (or won’t might be a better word) support PZ1 forever. The engine is getting old, they might want to add new ideas, add new animals, there are more reasons to end support of PZ1 than to just keep it going forever.Yeah, that's what I think too. I am completely of the same opinion, I don't really want any more DLCs, I want them to focus 100% on PZ2 and hopefully get some announcement and dates soon and hype up.I mean this had to happen eventually, Frontier can’t (or won’t might be a better word) support PZ1 forever. I’m not sure if I even want another DLC at this point. Sure it might add more animals, maybe some people have been waiting for in awhile. But it won’t fix some of the gameplay loop issues, pathing issues, engine limitations, etc.
I’m also not expecting a new DLC to add anything new right now. Barnyard did give us petting zoos! However three DLCs later no new gameplay features have been added. As many people have noticed too, the animals being added aren’t “anything out of the ordinary”.
Even the Americas finally getting birds didn’t cover the fact that the Rhea and Flamingo are very similar to animals we already have (not that I care too much, if we can have every dog, cat, antelope, caprine, or bear people can survive with flamingo #2). So even if we did get a new DLC, it wouldn’t add anything “new”. And considering how my luck has gone, it definitely wouldn’t add many of the animals I would have really wanted.
Once again, I’m open to being pleasantly surprised.
If we can just get the Coati and another New World Monkey I"ll be in the same spot. If we get the Coati and Howler I can feel like the odd choices of the Americas pack don't matter so much and leaving that in a much better place would make me much happier about the winding down cycle PZ is in.I mean this had to happen eventually, Frontier can’t (or won’t might be a better word) support PZ1 forever.
