COMPLETED CG Support Panther Clipper Mk II Launch with Critical Deliveries (Trade)

It WOULD be amusing if they set the release date to when the CG completes.
Yeah, that would be common-sense. (Yes, I am noting the sarcasm of the post.) Having the Panther Clippers available before the end of the event, though? That would be weird to see the very thing that is in jeopardy suddenly start appearing during the event that is meant to keep it from being in jeopardy. That would be like a missing person joining the search party to find themself (which has happened IRL, BTW: https://www.vice.com/en/article/mis...ours-helping-a-search-party-look-for-himself/)

My interpretation of this event is that they need the resources for the mass production of the panther clipper, so that’s the eventual credit release, and not the limited production run for the Arx release. That one’s still going ahead. That’s why I thought it would be a good idea for this event to come as close to completion as possible. It might release for credits earlier.

It would make perfect sense to see the limited release models being used in the CG.

I was hauling in Moebius today and saw at least 3 possibly 5 (I have a bad memory for names) Panthers in and around the station.

I also noticed the contributions per hour graph has shot up more steeply than any time since the start of the CG.

I did four runs in the Panther Clipper just to get a feel of the ship. All is good except the supercruise roll feels glitchy, it's like the cmdr's chair start to roll before the ship does.

Well, I swooped in from my current exploration site in my Mandalay (bought with credits), 76 jumps.
Popped out a Panther Clipper (bought with ARX[duh]), and contributed my one load of 1008 Superconductors. Because that's the max I could find in one spot. 🙄

With the Titan SCO drive, a size 6 shield, no fuel scoop and a size 4 Guardian FSD booster, I can get 1156t cargo and a jump range of 42.6/29.

I feel like no shields and a class 5 FSD Booster are the way to go. With autodock and supercruise, it fits exactly 1200 with a jump range above 50ly/30 laden. What a nice clean number.

It may or may not have something to do with my stubborn refusal to use a docking computer. Who can say. . .
I myself am a strong advocate of throwing the docking computer and always landing and launching manually. However, with the Panther Clipper I'm making an exception and sacrificing 2 tons of cargo space for it. It's just so much more convenient.

I got an advanced docking computer for it. It's definitely needed for landing. You can't see the pad at all. But after some ... incidents coming out of the stations, I think I'm going to disable that part and do it manually.

The Panther feels a lot more fun to fly than any of the other big haulers I think. I like it. Lots of them sitting at the CG station tonight.

I've always used auto dock only on the big drifty ones, zero the throttle as you pass the slot and the computer lands you. Auto launch is suicidally erratic, don't touch it imo.

Loving the PCMII, but now the nearest megaship (Trailblazer Dream) to my colonisation system has literally been picked clean. You bloody vultures leave some for the rest of us!
Looks like I'm gonna have to do this the old fashioned way...actually fly my ship around in search of commodities! Heresy!
