I have a fleet carrier, plenty of time, and a Panther Clipper, but I'm also lazy lol. Judging by the numbers on Inara, I won't get in the top 10. I'm not doing it a second time. This one was too much work self-loading for me. And the 50-minute carrier jump timers aren't helping either. The issue is players with fleet carriers, too much time and a Panther Clipper competing against people with a fleet carrier, too much time, but no Panther Clipper.
It's only vanity or personal achievement to get it anyway. Outside of that CG which handed out Thargoid Pulse Neutralizers (used to access active Titans before they were returned to the Far God), I cannot remember an instance where the top 10 got any reward besides credits - and that CG only had top 10 module rewards - either as default or extras. Unless you count occasional GalNet mentions which have themselves sometimes been restricted to top 3 or 5.I won't get in the top 10
You can do it without FC, but PC2 of course is great for thatyou're not competing with clippers for top 10 though, you're competing with people with fleet carriers and too much free time
But you can do 75% with T8 without any problem. Top 75% usually are very low. PC2 will change just the top 25%I know there's Much Discussion here about pay-to-win, fleet carriers, and now the plipper (cards on the table, i caved and got one), and I hear all of it.
For the trade war CG a couple months back, when the Cutter and T9 were still king, I ended up doing most of my contributions in a Type 8--half the capacity, but there was a medium-pad outpost just a couple light years over with plenty of the commodity I needed, and interdictions? A Type 8 laughs and dances right through 'em.
Been playing Elite off and on since around 2018, first on Xbox and just recently made the jump with my account to PC. It's my favourite game, a game it feels at times like I could live inside. But I stick with it by playing it on my terms, taking breaks, touching grass. All that good stuff.
As far as I know, it's always compared to the galactic average. I could be wrong, though. How does the 10x price work out? Is it 10x what we paid? Or 10x the galactic average whatever it is.
Cos if its 10x what we paid, imma sell some very expensive titanium from my FC.
Why the salt? It is a game.Oh great some more magical space rackshonestly i never saw this coming .
You missed it. Thats not Fdevs fault.FOUR WEEKS?
How about giving those of us who couldn't take part in last week's CGs access to the repaint and decal from that ONE WEEK CG?
No, it’s galactic average. I think it used to say that part specifically in some older CGs, but not 100% on that. I suppose someone more dedicated to searching the archives or with better records (or memory) might have a clearer answer. As far as I know, it's always compared to the galactic average. I could be wrong, though.
There was the Duval Babyshower that handed out clippers to the top 10. I think there was also one that gave glow in the dark decals for the top 10, but it's certainly rare. Yes it's a game which has some realism, that's what I like about it. I expected the colonisation to require more mats and the PC to be 1000t with a fairly decent shield . So I was disappointed on both aspects. But that's life .Why the salt? It is a game.
Would you rather have LESS cargo capacity?
I guess you are not involved in colonisation.
Already 1220 tons. The last CG finished with 345 for top 75%...Per Inara, the cutoff for 75% is currently 1,184 tons. That's three runs in a T8.
This is still in that CG. You just get one extra if in the 75% and, frankly, it’s not a difficult tier to remain in even with a just slightly more than minimal time investment.I liked that Frontier started to use '1 contribution is enough for everybody'.
