Ships 'Shopping Bag' Items in Pre-Built Ships

Right, so I bought the full Panther II setup with the pre-built setup. And the Panther Prong, of course; can't do without the Prong.

Now, all of the ship components have those little shopping bag icons on them, which presumably mean they were part of the pre-build.

Two questions:
1) Are those items locked to the Panther I bought them as part of?
2) I fitted a 6E cargo rack at a station in place of the 6A fuel scoop, and the fuel scoop has disappeared from my stored items. I didn't sell it, I'm pretty sure. Is that normal?

Yes, those modules are specific to the prebuild. You can replace them, but they can't be stored—they just disappear to the ether along with any engineering materials you may have used on them🙂

Wow, it was nice of them to tell us about that! Good catch though, Shurimal, because at least I won't now spend any materials on them. Thank you; you have saved me a lot of hassle, not to mention saved me the materials!

Might just simply replace them all anyway; money isn't an issue. In fact I will have to replace them all because I want to be able to use Engineering on just about everything....

Keep the two MK II cargo racks as they are engineered!

They did, but its not exactly what I would call "handy"...

You can engineer them. See above.

I have a Python Mk II Stellar which has 2 modules which I replaced. The rest of the modules are the 0 rebuy and fully engineered. (MY T-8 and my Mandalay are similarly built)

Here is one example of how it performs:

When I loaded into my Stellar PC the first time a day after it launched, one of the first things I saw when in the outfitting screen is that the "store" option for the modules was greyed out. That was when I discovered that removing the modules is basically kissing them goodbye.

Edit - A day later I noticed I quoted the wrong KingDrax post....corrected.

They aren't engineered, they are buyable like that, but only in those enhanced cargo slots, which only the PCMK2 has access to atm. You don't need to buy the stellar version to get them, the standard can just buy them from a shipyard.
