ACTIVE CG Brewer corporation calls for Trailblazer resupply

that past has been a looooong time ago. And I remember people being VERY salty about a CG ending on a friday night instead of running for the week it was announced for, and people ranting that they had jobs and can only play on the weekend, it being called unfair, its participants being called no-lifers and all that goes with it.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
But they never extended a week long CG cos we didn't hit top tier ? Either or
But yeah damned if they don't damned if they do

Well, 60M per day (2 x 30M deliveries profit for 1/2 hour casual hauling in my T9 (no PC2 for me yet, I will wait for it to be FREE)) for 16 out of the possible remaining 24 days = 1Billion by my reckoning.

Ready for Vanguards Squadron FC (or not)?

Or if Vanguards does not mean anything to me (just as PP is meaningless to me, being 99.9% solo), just a well earned 1Billion for playing the game!!!!!!!!!

Ha, when I saw this I thought - get my Sidey out, no one's done it yet.
I delivered 1T in Sidey and thought no-one else would!

Suddenly there were 19 Sidewinder visits to CG system in last 24 hours! not just me - so we all had same idea.
[me in a Sidewinder, no shields, 16 tons of cargo, eyeing the Power Security goon patrolling the station] try me, punk!!!

The threshold has barely moved today, I think the 75%ers are starting to get bored.
The question is at what point do you feel comfortable?

Is there a good explanation anywhere for how the mathematics of this kind of thing works out? I can buy the 75%ers getting bored and dropping out, but I imagine that competition is still fierce in the 25% and the Top Ten brackets. Don't their actions have an impact on the thresholds?

Only for that bracket, the competetive ones drive each other, probably for bragging rights. There was a time when I did that but I don't have that much time any more and there isn't anything in particular for getting a top 10 spot. I worked out I could get more in bonuses for 2 25% finishes at a lot less effort than getting a single top 10.

Maybe some of the top 25%ers are not competing with people at the same level; maybe they're lugging cargo so that the peasants in the lower levels don't climb up to catch them! i.e. consolidating their position? :ROFLMAO:

That's what I'm wondering, I've been in the top 25% since last Friday, but I've been watching the CG's stats on Inara and observing the lower threshold for the 25% bracket creep upwards.

Don't their actions have an impact on the thresholds?

Simplify it to the max - you only have 4 CMDRs, one in each bracket. Then imagine the bottom three aren't doing anything any more, only the one in the top 25% keeps on truckin'. Nothing would change except that the top 25% boundary would creep upwards (i.e. anyone who wants to break into that bracket would need to haul more than the CMDR who's holding this position).
If you add more CMDRs - as long as only the top bracket keeps on hauling, everyone will keep their place in the ranks. Only once someone from a lower rank gets ambitiouzs and rises up things start to shift.

What is it with that Power Security Force bloke anyway? He's shooting up clean ships for no reason at all....
Li Yong-Rui must have sent out one of those company-wide emails demading every employee of Sirius Corp explain and justify what they do at their job in an essay or else face being laid off, so now the Power Security goons are tripping over themselves trying to hit quotas.

Supposedly they are to leave you alone, unless you're actually carrying powerplay material. But maybe some of the code that originally made them shoot any hostile ship (which is any ship from another power) survived. I'm lucky enough that I am actually LYR aligned and enjoy extra trade dividends instead of getting shot at. I don't remember any trouble in the last CG though, and that was Nakato Kaine territory.
