New (new) ship teased - Type-11 Prospector

Might sound a bit superficial but, for me, it's crucial that any new mining ship has suitable paint jobs available... specifically, Turbulence Yellow.

In general, I think FDev have overlooked how important paint is with the new ships.
Sure, they've got some "interesting" paint available for them but I get the impression a lot of people like to colour-coordinate their fleets and we can't properly integrate the new ships into our fleets until they start providing some of the existing paint for the new ships.
Yep, I can't get a PC2 until there's some orange paints.

I don't know. I'm done on new ships for quite some time, as of the Corsair and I wasn't even going to get that originally but found I had just enough resources for engineering armor and the rest of the modules I cannibalized from other ships, or already had. I don't like the engineering system enough to buy more ships lol. FDev are now having the opposite problem, in that many probably don't like engineering enough to buy more ships, and who flies them stock? Most of the issues are raw materials. Mining those are lame. "Pew-pew-pewing" rocks doesn't feel like mining. That's like redneck mining, much like how tossing a dynamite stick in a lake is redneck fishing. Except you're going out and unloading a mounted 50 cal/ SAW at a rock and going "cha-ching!" Not to mention? Somehow, driving around looking for them is less fun than flying around in an asteroid belt looking for the golden glowing rock. I enjoy that more.

Mam Pythona do wydobycia, a T9 do lasera w zupełności wystarczy.

What's the point of bringing in a ship for mining? There are so many ships that do their job well... I understand the PC2 transport, but what can it do? Better power distribution, greater utility. I have a Python for mining, and a T9 for the laser is perfectly sufficient.
My thoughts are they are likely to bring in new mining mechanics.

An advance refinery on board to produce steel, aluminium, etc.
A unique SLF that could be used to break core asteroids.
Large mining lasers that are only available for a large mining ship.

There is plenty to do to make mining more interesting, although I do enjoy both laser and core mining.

Być może Maybe they will, but certainly not with a new ship.... Maybe someday... Sometime..... Because it would make sense then..... Mandaley is great for exploration, but why if 90% have embraced this branch

Without adding or developing new mechanics, new ships won't change anything... there's supposed to be new mechanics at the end of the year... why? I ask, why???????????. JUST REPAIR AND POLISH THE EXISTING ONE AND ADD NEW UPGRADES TO IT

Make it a large combat ship with lots of internal space à la Corvette ...

If the last ship this year is a big combat ship, and hasn't been beaten into a pulp by the nerf hammer, for balance, my Arghs will be waiting the moment it gets into the store.

Speaking of the new large combat ship, my God, oh how good it will be!

Just think how all the new ships are better - some slightly, some (looking at you, Cobra 5) not so slightly - can you imagine the splendor and might?

There is a flip side to that coin - though I love my Vettes, I will not hesitate. Not for a second.

I'll probably skip the mining ship if it does not have a feature to make finding core asteroids easier. A new HUD widget to point to the nearest core asteriod after a doing a pulse wave.
If it is a mining ship, then it has to have a new compelling feature that is unique. If not, the new best mining ship has just been introduced already.
Core mining is fine. Don't take away the skill it takes to be good at it and replace it with a widget. Also at this point, all we have is an image of rocks and some content creator claiming to know what it is.

And after all, a good miner is nothing but a good multirole with a strong distributor. Also, remember: The Mandalay is not a combat ship.

I understand, but with such advanced technology, creating a unique map of the rings would be impossible, even for you? They could be everywhere, platinum-wise, but will you find the cores? I have two myself, marked with great difficulty; if I don't dig for a long time, I'll forget... they could make things easier, even for someone who has put the effort and time into exploring the asteroid belt.
I don't care for mapped mining, and I don't laser mine. I core mine, and I dare to say I am good at it - on average I crack a core every six minutes. And I like that it actually takes skill - one of the few non combat activities that does. Yes, this is a git gud post (core mining is the only thing in the game I am actually gud at). Core mining doesn't need to be watered down to the level of laser mining.
