Hello my planet zoo family! With the news that potentially the forums are going to get shut down, let us go back and mention below what would have been some of your favorite moments and highlights throughout the years being on the forum and who are individuals that made it amazing throughout.

I see they’re shutting down the Planet Coaster 2 forums. I’ve stopped visiting over there as it’s just a dumpster fire of constant whining, negativity and complaints. Perhaps that could be why?

One of my favorite memories is counting down the minutes until we thought a reveal would come. :)
Another of my favorites is when we would argue over what animal groups need more representation, LOL. Everyone on this forum is amazing. Hopefully its not closing because I love PZ Fam! I don't feel like the Discord is a family (I haven't been there too much.) I DEFINITELY don't feel like Reddit is a family because they get mean when I say I want another dog for example.
Every single person on this forum is cool. I would even say, out of all the forums I have been on this one is the most welcoming and civil.

Wait what? Why is that happening? Is there an alternative for long time forum members, like discord or something?

Frontier officially answered my question on discord about the future of planet zoo forums:

Ugh, I really, really do not like this pivot to Discord. Discord is fine for one-on-one chats or small groups, but anytime a server gets more than a dozen or so active users, it becomes too difficult to truly stay on top of conversations the way you can with forums. It's also way too easy for a small handful of big personalities to just completely dominate discussion and drown out everyone else. I've seen it time and time again, basically every time I've ever attempted to join a game-centric Discord. Honestly if this game's official discussion hub had been a Discord from day 1 instead of these forums, I almost certainly would have never gotten involved in this community, and don't expect to make the jump if the eventual PZ2 hub is strictly on Discord.

It'll be around here until the well dries up entirely, but after that, it's been real.

While yes true, this means that for a potential sequel our community will have to migrate to discord when so much has been built in these forums. It’s unfortunate

It would be unfortunate I agree.
If they do a sequel I doubt it would be soon. There were many years in-between Planet Coaster 1 and 2. Don't quote me because I don't know what they have planned, but that's just my gut feeling. 🤞

Yea I think the timeline is accelerated by the newer reports of a cms in 2026. Of course this could be something new but I doubt it

Thing is, all the groundwork has already been laid by PC2, so it's feasible that the gap will be smaller between PZ1 and PZ2.
